My cousin and I always plan at least one ladies vacation a year. Just to reconnect, regroup and reground. We went for 3 days stayed for 4. The room was immaculate, two beds, a fridge and coffee maker. Early morning we were greeted with the water lilies opening. We had a wonderful relaxing stay. Already planning on visiting next year.
Pros: Hotel staff was extremely personable and knowledgeable about the area. They went out of their way to ensure a great experience for my wife and myself. Very affordable. Hotel was near a hidden gem of some sort of miniature zoo called Claws N Paws which we had no prior knowledge or expectations. Ended up being one of the highlights of our trip, and was right down the street from this hotel. The small number of rooms definitely factored into their ability to pay more attention to their guests. The pond/lake the hotel is situated next to is easy on the eyes and there’s plenty of seating to lounge around it. Probably wouldn’t try swimming in it though. Cons: WiFi was spotty, and Verizon service was non-existent. Walls were thin so we heard the neighbors at times. …
If you're looking for a rustic Poconos experience, this the place! The lake out front is spectacular and serene. We stayed in the 1 bedroom which was perfect! We could cook, had a full sized refrigerator and microwave with all of utensils and cookware needed. The bedroom was nice and the living space was great! It was so clean and the owners are just really awesome friendly people. - Can't wait to go back!
We needed a place to stay for one night and booked a room at Lake Mocatek Inn with no expectations. Wow, were we pleasantly surprised! It was very clean and well maintained! Our room even had a kitchenette! The owners were great! We checked in later than we had anticipated but they were able to accommodate us. We plan on returning for a couple night stay soon. We recommend it with no reservations! You will not be disappointed.
My son and I travel to the Lake Wallenpaupack region a couple times a year and we always stay at the Lake Mocatek Inn. Seth and Nina always make you feel welcome when you arrive. The rooms are very clean and with the lake nearby always makes for a restful stay.
