This restaurant has very nice views of the river, the outside deck is perfect for a sunny day. The servers were all very polite and quick to get you what you needed. My reason for the lower rating is because I ordered the lobster roll, and ended up finding two pieces of shell in the sandwich and broke my tooth on one of them. I did not say anything at the time because I was honestly embarrassed and in pain. I did leave an email on the website, so hopefully they address this with the kitchen.

I recommend The New Inn at Lackwaxen. The scenery is beautiful, the food is delicious and the service is top notch. I sat there for 7 hours, tried a variety of different food and enjoyed the atmosphere there. If you're looking for a serene, quaint place with great food and entertainment with the staff working very hard to make sure you're happy and satisfied, The New Inn at Lackwaxen is the place to go. We're going again in September. That's how much we enjoyed ourselves there!!! Tricia and Tommy Durr

This is the fifth year we've been here to celebrate our anniversary. This year was the best ever. Really appreciated the special care and personal attention both with our room and in the restaurant. Thanks Barb and all.

I am an active customer of the Lackawaxen Inn for 35 years. Three weeks ago my friend and I from NYC went for dinner and ordered the chicken cutlet parm and it was amazing. Having more friends visiting this weekend from NYC, we decided to go to the Lack again. This experience was terrible. After my recommendation, two people in our party ordered the chicken cutlet parm. The chicken was overcooked, the sauce tasted like it was from the jar. When we complained to the owner, she started to interrogate us. Did we eat the food? Why didn't we send it back and get another dish (maybe because we waiting over an hour for the Chicken dish. Very rude and unprofessional. New Again after 35 years.
