Great for lunch, excellent pub food, good variety plus plenty of favorites. Guinness on tap and poured like a pro! We had a plowmans lunch, it was delicious. Watching others lunches and the serves are generous and look delicious. Warm fireplace.

I would have given 5 stars. The food let the place down. Last visit was just so brilliant. I think the chef must have changed, the plates were cold which made the food cold. I had the slow cooked chicken since they ran out of the spatchcock. The restaurant manager raves about the chicken and how it was cooked but I was so disappointed with the meal. I make better slow cooked chicken. Then came the cannoli was very average. The wine was good and the starter bread was good. The breakfast was ok. Last time we had real coffee this time capsules. I love my first cup of coffee in the morning. This review is not meant to be nasty please take this as a feed back. I know the out goings are really high in this sort of places. I feel for the people who runs it since I myself is an ex publican and understand how hard it is to run a place that big. Love Quinton the staff member he is awesome.

Parking is not easily identified. I had to do a circuit of the very leafy, grounds on roads that were "lumpy but navigable" to get to park where we came it. Parking is sign posted, but close parking is not immediately apparent. We were greeted by "Quentin" the Concierge who directed us to our table. Beautifully laid out with Royal Albert crockery. After a time.. (A tad to long.) came the tea in a slightly tarnished teapot. No worries. No teabags here. Proper tea leaves, and an individual strainer. Lovely, Lovely. Then the main event the Tri. High tea event. It was all very good. Except the sandwiches. the bread was stale, like out in the sun for a couple of hours stale. I ate them and enjoyed the filling My partner wasn't so keen. Overall... Loved the experience.. I recommend High Tea at the Robertson.

Place is old, however it is comfortable, clean and quite. However watch out for the $25 buffet, we paid for at checkin only to find the next morning that the buffet was not operating, and the cook couldn’t even cook a pouched egg. Also they closed the bar at 9.05pm as we walked up to it, the close time is advertised as 9.30pm.

Not much of this style of accommodation about these days - about a century? old! It’s lovely to go back in time .... We enjoyed our attentive host, the open fire and the ambiance but most of all one of the finest meals ourselves and our 3 dinner guests have had in ages. Keep that chef happy - very good .
