Lunch stop, steak & chips and couple beers, and went back in afternoon for few more beer, relaxing atmosphere, staff friendly. What I expect a country pub to be. Didn't stay in rooms as stayed had apartment the road, but visit the pub couple times during my stay. Great place for a beer & steak.
Having traveled to Kiama on the Picnic Train we had lunch here. And let me tell you we were not disappointed. The food was delicious. We sat outside on the pavement as it was o lovely day. We started with the garlic bread and the the meals we selected were lamb shanks, pork belly and beef burgers. All the food was exceptional. Flavors and presentation. Will definitely come back when next in Kiama.
Looks ok on ground floor, upstairs is decrepit. Clean bedroom, hot showers does the job for a short stay. Some rooms did not have power points. So about a backpacker rating. Has a couple of people who seem to be permanent residents. These guys decided to get inebriated and start cooking, chatting and watching TV at 3 am. Their enjoyment obviously being more important than that of the other residents. Food ok, stick to basics Chicken Parma, Fish and Chips etc. can't go wrong.
Visited here a couple of times for drinks and one time dinner. Place was great, staff were nice, music was a surprise with no Kardashian generation plastic tracks and no bogan music either. Drinks were always cold fast and if a reasonable price. The food was pub food, value for money and well prepared. Worth a visit
Located on the corner of Bong Bong and Manning, it’s centrally located and just a minute walk to the railway station. A typical Aussie pub, with friendly staff and its bunch of regulars. Modern and fresh fit out. Lots of indoor seating, and around a dozen tables outside under the awning.
