We could’ve easily given Lord Byron 5 stars but unfortunately the noise stopped us! Location was perfect, rooms had everything we needed and were clean and comfortable, and staff were friendly. However, if you’re looking for somewhere that’s quiet during the day then definitely look elsewhere! We were having a holiday away from our two young boys so obviously naps during the day were essential, and you could easily hear any conversation from reception with people coming and going, the cleaners who would spend a few hours in the hallways/rooms each morning (I absolutely appreciate that they need to clean, but the issue is that there seems to be no soundproofing at all), and then there must have been some works being done while we were there involving some machinery from Kennards/Coates right outside our balcony - even with the door closed to the outside area you could clearly hear their conversations, the beeping of the machinery. This was over a couple of days. We would have really appreciated a simple “sorry, we are just doing some work!” from reception, but they didn’t mention anything so it was frustrating. Overnight the place was pretty quiet, so I guess if you’re out during the day it won’t bother you but for us we were in and out so we definitely noticed it.

I have visited Byron for a holiday every year for over 10 years and this was the first time I had stayed at the Lord Byron. Initially we had booked to come over the Christmas/New Year period but had to cancel last minute due to covid lockdowns. The staff were super helpful, especially given we were only giving them a couple of days notice, and we booked for the Australia Day long weekend instead. We absolutely loved our stay - the room was spotless and nicely decorated, and we loved sitting on our balcony in the afternoon, overlooking the pool with a glass of wine, before heading out for the evening. We used the pool every day which was the perfect temperature and had sun all day long. Drinks can be ordered via your phone and they bring them out to you straight away. We hired biked everyday to ride into town, out for dinner and drinks, to the beach etc. There were always plenty to go around and they were of great quality and smooth to ride. The reception staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help in any way they could. I can't recommend The Lord Byron more highly and we have already booked to go back later in the year!

Stayed for 3 nights at the end of January and was really impressed with the location of The Lord Byron (right beside Woolies, less than ten minute walk to beach and cafes/restaurants on the doorstep). All the staff working in the hotel were super friendly which made for an even better experience. The pool was the highlight as it received sun all day long and it’s heated too, the tap to order drinks was also a bonus. Will definitely return next time we visit Byron!

We have just spent nine nights at the LORD BYRON what can i say the place was fantastic. Location excellent receptionist excellent housekeeping excellent nothing was too much for them to help as we had a room on the top deck no lifts two flights of stairs staff carried our bags up for us. The pool area not large yet was comfortable to sit by the rooms were excellent air-con ceiling fans bathroom water pressure all good. Off street parking available at all times so satisfied have booked a return trip later on this year

Nice pool and spa. Our bed was really bad and I ended up with bad back. Drinks by the pool, free bikes and surfboards were great. Nice and close to woolies but a bit too far from the beach for us. More directed at couples than families

Dear jredheart, Thanks for taking the time to leave us with your feedback. I's a shame to hear that our beds weren't to your liking. We pride ourselves on top of the range bedding and our friendly reception staff are always there to help with offering room moves and or removing the soft mattress topper provided. We have such a great location and amenities here and we are glad you made the most of them! Warm Regards, The Lord Byron
