The Three Tuns is a family-friendly pub in the heart of St Keverne, on the beautiful Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, which was recently voted one of the best places to live in the UK by the Sunday Times. We serve coffee and cake from 10am daily, with food available to order from our menu between 12 noon and 9pm, seven days a week. A special Sunday roast is also available between 12 noon and 3pm, using beef reared on the peninsula - booking recommended. Dogs on leads are welcomed in the bar and there is free WiFi throughout. Upstairs there are five newly-refurbished lettings rooms: three doubles, a king size and a family room, which all come with breakfast included. We are within walking distance from a number of pretty coves, including dog-friendly Porthallow and one of the best diving spots in the UK, Porthkerris, the gateway to the famous Manacles and their many shipwrecks. St Keverne is less than five miles from Goonhilly Downs, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and part of the wider Lizard National Nature Reserve, which hosts many rare plants and flowers. It is also just a 20-minute drive from the market town of Helston, home to the world-famous Flora Dance each May. The village itself hosts the annual Ox Roast festivities, on the first Wednesday of August - a tradition not to be missed!

We really enjoyed our meal here, the pub is full of character and the staff were very friendly. They also took the Covid precautions seriously. We will definitely visit again when in this beautiful area.

We had a lovely stay here, rooms were very nice, comfy bed with fresh, clean bedding. Staff were very helpful, knowledgable and friendly. If your just popping in for food I’d recommend booking as it fills up quickly and some dishes sell out due to them being very good ie mussels absolutely delicious.

SO...visited tonight after making a reservation last week. On arrival our reservation obviously had not been booked in. The bar was busy even at 6.00pm , but we were found a table with apologies. We were given time to look at the menu whilst enjoying a glass of wine. Not the biggest menu I have seen, but you would be hard pushed not to find something to your taste. My husband went for the steak ( cooked rare) and I went for local mussels. Bar getting busier all the time but with efficient staff everyone seated and settled quickly. I did wonder if the kitchen would be overwhelmed, not the case our food arrived within 25 minutes. Wow... the food was fantastic, steak cooked as ordered and the mussels were the best I have EVER eaten, and I have eaten a lots !!! Well done this team , we live locally and we will be back .

With all the uncertainty around COVID-19 & finding somewhere to eat we had been let down by another establishment & called the 4 Tuns purely on the off chance if they could do a table of 8 last minute. No issue at all we will have you two tables of 4 ready which at 830PM when we arrived we had two tables of 4 next to each other. The menu was spot on, offering lovely local produce nothing over the top fancy just good basic pub food the menu is not vast which personally I think is brilliant as you know they concentrate on the quality not trying to be some fancy eating place. All the meals we had were more than excellent & we had a range of dishes so a great all-round feedback. The staff were excellent very friendly & more than helpful, you didn't feel a nuisance being there & they genuinely were pleased to see us. The pub was busy with most tables being used obviously in the circumstances & the COVID 'rules' were being used so you felt comfortable & not worried at all. Well done to this team excellent experience & we will be back 100%. After coming to this part of Cornwall for over 50 years the first time I have eaten here, had a few beers in the past but not food, so this is now on my list to visit again in September.

We had a lovely stay at the three tuns this weekend. The pub itself is great and has a nice beer garden. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is fantastic! There are small shops and pubs just outside in the village and a lovely little restaurant across the road too!
