A delightful very helpful couple. Nothing was too much trouble with every consideration thought of. Breakfast was equally as good with a lovely variety.
We stayed two nights and would have to say it is one of the nicest B & B's we have stayed in. I would suggest it is better suited for couples only. It is located up a steep hill with plenty of parking within walking distance into town being only a few minutes away. Walking back it is rather a steep hill so may not suit everyone. Excellent location if visiting Tintagel and surrounding areas.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at this lovely B & B. Karen and Paul made us very welcome and the bedroom was fully equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed a cooked breakfast every morning and there was always a good choice of menu.

There is absolutely nothing to fault with this B & B. From the fabulous welcome when we arrived to the superb facilities with finishing touches only normally seen in five star hotels. The sheltered outside deck to watch the sunset from was an added bonus. Breakfast was superb and nothing was too much trouble. Wouldn’t recommend for children but for couples it’s perfect

We spent one night at Toppesfield while house hunting in the West Country. Karen and Paul are absolutely delightful hosts and made us feel totally welcome from the moment we parked up.

The room was beautiful, and the showroom-quality bathroom put ours to shame! I was so tempted to use the spa bath but settled for the lovely rainfall shower. We had a large verandah which, unfortunately we couldn't really make the most of given the time of year, but the sunrise we viewed from it was just stunning.

I can only say that we arrived as guests and left feeling we had made new friends...hopefully we'll be neighbours too before long!

Topplesfield House is undoubtably THE best B and B we have ever stayed in. From the extremely warm welcome to the everyday comfort and friendliness of Karen and Paul, they are in our view top hosts! Our room is spacious, warm, exceptionally clean, has lots of added extras such as torch by bed, lovely condiments on the tea tray, beautiful cups and saucers. Quality bathroom toiletries, gorgeously dressed bed which is a delight to sleep in. Fantastic window views, lush window drapes and over all this place exceeds so many by having luxurious quality furnishings. Quiet through the night which ensures a great sleep too. Large TV on wall again - good quality. Breakfast is a delight! Varied, fresh, hot and all quality food. Karen and Paul are truly made for this, so friendly but not invasive. Chester the dog makes for a proper homely feel! We love him! Only ONE downfall since arriving is that my partner has to stay connected to internet and needs this for conference calls, mainly mornings, but some evenings too. We have found the internet to be none existent inside our room so no Netflix for me while he’s working at night and he has to sit in the breakfast room to work which is disturbing for others and means we are separated each morning and evening while he works.
Thank Christine S
