We had a special meal booked at a restaurant in Bray so stayed here overnight as it was walking distance from the village. The room was clean, pleasant and had lots of fluffy white towels and spacious en suite! The host was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early which was a bonus. The breakfast in the room and fridge were convenient for the price, and there was more food available than we needed. Access to a real coffee machine would have been nice though, but we would definitely stay there again.
Stayed here for a weekend get away with my boyfriend around the start of May 2015. We were delighted to say the least with a welcoming greet at the front door by the lovely owner, who kindly showed us around, answered all enquiries and directed us to near by places that we wanted to visit. The room was modern, yet had a homely touch. Would definitely come visit again and would recommend to friends!
Well let's start with the positive the owner was friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was nice, yes it was continental, and all the items are kept in your room for you to help yourself to when ready. The guesthouse is on a main road but did not bother us in the room. Now down to the cleaning, or lack of it. The floor had not been hoovered in ages and looked filthy, there was even a pair of someone else's shoes that had been left behind under the chair. There were cobwebs all around the room and spiders to match. The bathroom floor was filthy and parts of it looked like it hadn't seen a cloth or mop in ages. Toilet and wash hand basin were clean though. I personally would not recommend this to anyone until it has been cleaned.
We here mid July 2012 for one night on recommendation. We had a double room at the front of the house. It's a strange set up with breakfast being made available in the room, so don't expect a full English. Cereal, juice and pastry's where provided in a fridge along with tea and coffee facilities. Had high expectations from arriving at the house which is a lovely property and it's in a nice location and very handy for Windsor and Maidenhead. However, my expectations soon had a reality check. The double room was cramped with nowhere to leave even a small case, and having to squeeze past each other to move around the room! The ensuite wasn't particularly clean, hair in the shower tray and the class shower cubicle had hand prints all over it. The room was very grubby (doors and surrounds need a really good clean, the walls are scuffed and plenty of dust around) although the bed was clean and fresh. I expected some noise from the road outside overnight but thankfully it wasn't an issue, more noise came from the fridge within the room, which was a disturbance. We chose this place in favour of a Travel Lodge thinking the standard would be higher but where disappointed to find it was probably lower for similar money.…
