We arrived at Poulton Grange late one evening for a pre-booked 4 night stay. We were 25 days into 33 day European trip and this would have to be the nicest place we stayed. Deborah and James were marvelous - so welcoming and eager to help us get into to the house and relaxed. From the moment you walk in the door they are helpful, informative and friendly. Our room was enormous and beautifully appointed with a choice of beverages and snacks. The bathroom is lovely, the home and farm are stunning. Breakfast each day was perfect, served in the large farm kitchen - Deborah provides a choice of time and then puts out a feast!! There is plenty to do around the area and it is quite central to visit other parts of this region if you have a car. We were visiting family and friends and almost felt disappointed to not have enough time here. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a lovely stay with lovely people.

A real find. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, which put me immediately at ease, and the room was faultless. The bedroom is very large compared to most B&Bs with a massive bathroom containing both bah and shower - all well laid out and spotlessly clean. Wonderful views from the double aspect windows, all the facilities you could ask for. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was sumptuous and plentiful, summer fruit followed by a full English and as much toast as you would want. Nice to see Clipper tea too, and charming hosts - all in all the very best of British B & Bs. This is a top end venue and I would highly recommend it. I look forward to my future visits...

Poulton Grange is beautiful in the biggest meaning of the word. The location is great, the house stunning, the beds amazing, the food brilliant but above all Deborah & James make you feel like home. The image is the view from one of the bedroom windows. Beautiful. Eh?

We revisited this modern farm for two nights and were again delighted with the tranquillity and beauty of the surrounding farmland. As before we were made most welcome. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We were given excellent advice as to local restaurants where we could get an evening meal and were given a good breakfast in the morning. Conversation with our hosts was an added bonus at breakfast. Local wildlife was a delight as before, particularly the hares and their young..

We travel a lot and agree that this is the best B&B we've ever stayed in. Deborah and James are extremely welcoming hosts, and you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Our room was very spacious and well appointed, warm and comfortable. Everything you needed was there. Breakfast is taken in their large farmhouse kitchen, with a wide selection to choose from, including a generous and very well prepared hot selection which was delicious. Advice on good local restaurants to eat in the evening was very helpful, and we appreciated the advice about interesting shops in Marlborough. It's in a wonderfully secluded location in the heart of the rolling Wiltshire downs, with big skies and a great sense of being somewhere historic. We will be there like a shot next time we need to stay in the area.

Deborah and James Sheppard made us very, very welcome in their magnificent modern house. Our enormous room contained the sort of extras you only get in a five star luxury hotel. Breakfasts were a delight. Poulton Grange is much more than a B & B. It's a lovely Country House Hotel which doesn't serve lunch or dinner.

After a hard days work and staying somewhere that you would like piece and quiet, this location is the place to stay. The location is off the main road but well worth the mile drive on the farm road. The Grange is absolutely amazing. Rooms are large and spacious. Everything was perfect including the breakfast. Fabulous people. Definitely coming back

We stayed as two couples in this wonderful bed and breakfast, where we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. It is many years since I stayed in something described as a b&b and this was far ahead of anything before and indeed many hotels visited. The rooms were of a considerable size and the facilities from the lovely en-suite, dressing room and complimentary wine and beer were excellent and tastefully done. Our room was triple aspect and not overlooked at all and it was so nice waking up to a beautiful view on all three sides. Poulton Grange is wonderfully secluded and tranquil. Deborah and James the proprietors, were hospitable, friendly and provided a breakfast to die for. If you are expecting a pokey second rate b&b this is NOT it! If you want luxury rooms with lovely linen, furnishings and a sumptuously comfortable bed then you have found a gem. Thoroughly recommended. A wonderful I
