Wonderful staff, hotel and experience. A true gem in a marvellous historical market town. Right next to the Abbey which is well worth a visit. The streets are full of history but it is still a working town. The Old Bell is situated in the middle and very convenient position.

Dear Guide07915663064, Thank you for taking the time to write to us and please accept all my apologies if the restaurant Team has not been able to accommodate your reservation at your preferred time slot. On this occasion, we were not lacking space in the restaurant or bar but we found ourselves with 2 back to back parties. The team on the day has proposed two different time slots so that you did not find yourself waiting too long for your meal to arrive. I am terribly sorry the this was explained to you. We hope that your stay in one of our Master room was to your satisfaction and once again, please accept all my apologies of the wrong newspaper has been delivered to you. I hope that this isolated incident will not stop you using the Old Bell Hotel in the future and should you decide to give us another chance, I would be delighted to personally handle your next reservation with us. please do contact me directly at christophe@oldbellhotel.com or on 07387261504. Yours sincerely,

Very old historic building but with a more modern annexe at the rear. Excellent bar and restaurant. The breakfast is cooked to order and all food was superb
