Spent a lovely evening in the cave suites. Absolutely stunning venue and accommodation. Over and above this,we received truly excellent service from Olivia, Chantal & Pedro. Their friendliness and excellent service really made the trip out here even more special. I would highly recommend at least staying 2 nights and look forward to visiting again. Sam & Vanessa

Without a doubt, the most abysmal accommodation either my new husband or I have ever had the misfortune of staying. Massively overpriced for a spectacularly badly run, poorly maintained establishment with so much potential. We cut our honeymoon short rather than stay in this awful hotel. Zero attention to detail. Zero staff training. Zero care for a guests experience. Dirty...

Spend time away from any noise and is perfect for relaxation. The 4km hiking trails is a must but had no luck with night sky as it was once in a life time super moon. With the moon been so bright there was light pollution, but general this is not the case and the night sky is magic. We stayed...

Fantastic place to get away - peaceful, beautiful landscapes, great food, fab accommodation and friendly staff. We stayed in one of the huts which was excellent - surprisingly even the shower was great & water hot. Bed was also very comfy. Definitely somewhere to enjoy the peace & quiet. Some nights, we ate outside by the open fire which was...

If you want to experience something different this is the place to visit. Gravel roads gives your car a bit of thratching. Thank you to the friendly staff from the reception to the housekeepers. We booked into the chalets which were well serviced. Loved the location as the chalets are not very close to each other. We did the the...

We visited Kagga kamma reserve and what an amazing experience it was. Note though u must have a vehicle that can take a bit of a thrashing as the road up the mountain is long and very difficult at parts, so keep your wits about you. The place itself is nestled in the mountain and absolutely amazing. We had a...

Has a real 'get away from it all' feel about it. An hour of driving along dirt tracks to get there. Full facilities available when you do. Excellent value food - shame about the service - took far too long to get served, though they will say that everything is freshly prepared. Stunning scenery and some great local walks.

The hotel was great and the staff were friendly. The restaurant had an menu with plenty of choice and prices were very reasonable. I would definitely go back. It is located in the beautiful Klein Cederberg and is set in a breathtakingly beautiful environment.

We have come back to Kagga Kamma year after year and plan to continue this trend in the future. We usually stay in the cave rooms, however this time we rented a 3 bedroom chalet as we had family visiting with us. The chalet is situated a couple of km from reception, amongst sandstone columns and spires and a great...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Kagga Kamma is an absolute treat for travellers seeking a unique and inspiring experience. On your visit you will see a part of Africa that is unlike any other. The Cederberg Mountain’s otherworldly rock formations, a crisp sky stretching endlessly overhead and beautiful rock art from an ancient culture, is the backdrop to a wonderful adventure. Kagga Kamma’s accommodation options are as unique as the landscape it is set in. The Bushman Lodge offers spacious en-suite thatched rondavels/huts. The famous 'cave suites' built against the sandstone rock formations will take you back to a prehistoric time without taking away any modern-day luxuries. Kagga Kamma also offers a one of a kind Outcrop open-air “room” where guests can sleep under the stars in sheer luxury - definitely a not-to-be-missed experience.Speaking of the stars...Take a tour into the milky way when you visit our mini-observatory. It promises to be an inspirational experience when you view the Karoo night skies through our 10-inch telescope. While the sun is out you can opt for a journey back in time with our popular rock art tours. Our expert ranger will interpret the 6000 year old Bushmen paintings and living sites scattered all across the nature reserve.Other activities to be enjoyed at Kagga Kamma include relaxing nature drives with our knowledgeable guides, hiking trails, quad bike safaris, mountain bike trails, a 4x4 route and our Kagga Kamma Relax Spa. Even eating out at Kagga Kamma will be a matchless experience when you visit the restaurant for breakfast and lunch, and an outdoor lapa surrounded by beautiful rock formations for dinner under the starlit night skies in summer time. There is also a pub and lounge area with Wi-Fi internet, as well as satellite television for watching sports events. GPS co-ordinates:Latitude: S 32 44 45Longitude: E 19 33 46 ... more   less
