The Lodge at Woodloch was an amazing, magical experience and stay, from the moment we arrived to the sad moment we had to depart. The size of the resort lends to an intimate experience where the staff make you feel like you are the only guest they are attending. The room, food, amenities, and service were outstanding, the grounds peaceful, the variety of activities allowed us to try new things, and the spa was just exquisite! Plan your activities and spa services before arriving and if offered do the Chef Guided Garden Dinner which was awesome. We can't wait to return!
A week ago today, my wife and I were at the Lodge at Woodloch celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary. Since we got married during the winter, we normally try to get away to a warm, tropical location for our anniversary. With COVID, that wasn't an option. After much research, we decided to book a three night stay at Woodloch, After driving slightly over 2 hours, we arrived at the front gate of the resort. After giving the guard our name, he said, "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!" We pulled up to the front of the hotel and the valet welcomed us with, "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!" We went to the front desk to check in and the clerk greeted us with, you guessed it, "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!" THEY HAD US AT HELLO! From that point on, Woodloch helped make our anniversary celebration one of the best we've ever had! First off, our concerns surrounding COVID were addressed to the max. Mask wearing was required. Hand sanitizers were everywhere. Social distancing was stressed. Tables in the restaurants were placed safely apart from one another. Workers constantly wiping and cleaning. We found out that they even reduced the occupancy to ensure that the resort wasn't crowded. There were numerous activities from which to choose. Everything from outdoor hikes, to arts and crafts to meditation classes and, of course, the spa and related services and classes. The pool, steam and sauna rooms and jacuzzies were out of this world. I had never been in an outdoor jacuzzi during the dead of winter. I have now. It was great. The attention to detail was phenomenal - Individual back pack with a bottle of hand sanitizer and a water bottle with a label with your name on it! Plush towels all over the spa area at your disposal. A radio in your room with a port to charge your mobile phone. Super comfortable beds, No ticket for valet parking; they remembered who you were. Requesting you to silence your phones outside of your room. A pink Himalayan sea salt lamp in the room to clean/sanitize the air. And get this, in the public restrooms they piped in sounds of birds chirping! The meals were delicious. Tastefully done. Properly portioned; just enough. Though there was a menu for each meal, you could ask for modifications to a meal and they would accommodate you. Finally, the service from the staff was top notch. Any request was acted upon immediately. Here are the names of just some of the employees who made our trip memorable: Joey from engineering who helped me install my chromecast by taking the TV off the wall so the device could be inputted in the back of the TV; Jake the valet who answered all our questions when we first arrived and delivered our bags to the room before we even got there; Wendy our waitress for the first night we were there, as well as all the servers in the restaurant; Cindy the Aqua Tabata instructor who made working out fun; Grace the Fat Tire Bike ride guide who put up with my less than valiant effort to conquer that stubborn bike; and finally John who helped my wife and I discover our inner artistic skills by teaching us how to paint a beautiful winter scene in his watercolor painting class. Again, these are just some of the employees. In actuality, all of the staff we encountered were excellent. As noted, THEY HAD US AT HELLO, when we first checked in. At our final night's dinner, after finishing our main meal, we were undecided as to whether we'd have dessert. We finally decided to each get some gelato. We ordered it. It was brought out. The cover was taken off the plate. Placed on the scoops of gelato was a strip of white chocolate with sketched on it, you guessed it, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. That day was actually our anniversary date. THEY HAD US AT GOODBYE! The bottom line is if you want a wonderful spa resort experience, The Lodge at Woodloch is somewhere you want to strongly consider.…
From the time we walked in, Woodloch staff was so pleasant. We spent 2 nights, 3 days, Our room was lovely with a deck overlooking the woods. I enjoyed a walk on the trails and discovered wonderful hammocks nestled in the trees. Couldn't have found a better place to swing and relax. Our meals were very creative and delicious. The spa and treatments wonderful with hot tubs and waterfalls. The activity offerings were so diverse. Beautiful setting and wonderful staff and accomodations. Highly recommend for a getaway. Worth every penny!
The staff, the accommodations, the cleanliness, the classes, the food, the atmosphere are second to none. Woodloch Pines is a family favorite for 33 years. The Lodge at Woodloch is a different experience, so zen and peaceful with tons of activities. The hydrofacial was amazing. Thank you Woodloch!
A wonderful getaway for those wishing to relax, de-stress, and enjoy the company of those you may wish to spend close time together. The 3 meals a day were a wonderful highlight that we looked forward to each day - the farm to table vegetables were notable and we loved learning about their gardening operation on a tour. There are many interesting activities to choose from and we hope to return again to explore more. The Spa looked wonderful - book your appointments in advance of your trip. We did not and they were fully booked by the time of our arrival. The waterfall hot tub / pool area were quite enjoyable as well as the hot tub setting outside. Multiple campfires are lite each night, music is pipped in from a singer in the lounge area. Be aware alcohol is not included and quite pricey, the wine and drinks were excellent. Of note: there are lots of insects and bees around, the hotel website does note to bring bug spray, I highly recommend this. Overall, we had a relaxing, enjoyable time and plan to return next year.…
