I make an annual trek to Ricketts Glen State Park and the Danville PA Red Roof Inn has become a most welcome component of my annual trips. It has always been very clean, very quiet, very friendly, and very convenient to both Ricketts Glen State Park and Knoebel's Amusement Park. Highly recommended!

While traveling for business my hotel stay was booked by a third party(saving them money) hotel staff very friendly, however after 2 hours in the room I was greeted with cockroaches- above the sink mirror, coming out of th a/c unit, and ones dead but not cleaned up.

Greetings! First off let me thank you for your business and choosing the Red Roof Inn! While it's not in my nature to challenge guest and we all here go above and beyond to make all of our guest completely satisfied with their stay, I do have to tell you that what you had were not cockroaches. We do run a very tight ship and have a number of accolades on our cleanliness. We have however seen a couple week period where we were invaded on the outside of the building with boxelder bugs. Theses bugs are harmless and they are drawn in by maple trees that are predominant in our surrounding area. These pest are not indicative of any uncleanliness and we've been spraying them daily and have them about all eradicated at this point. I do apologize that you had to deal with that while with us and I would be happy to compensate you for that. I do just want to ask that you consider the facts of what actually was happening and hope that we can regain your trust and confidence to visit us again for future stays. Thank you - Tony

Desk clerk called me 10 min prior to my arrival to tell me that they did not have any superior king rooms on 1st floor but she could put me in a regular king on 1st floor at a cheaper rate. I was charged the same rate but no fridge, microwave or work station. When I checked in, the girl was nice. Got to my room and checked for bed bugs and found none, so I ordered out and unpacked. While eating, saw a bug on the smoke detector. Killed it…just a stink bug. Got ready for bed, jammies on, moved the flat pillows around and a black spider ran out from under a pillow. Killed it and searched again for bugs but found none. Went to bed, highway noise was loud but was muffled somewhat after I took out my hearing aides. Did not sleep much…worrying about spiders and bugs. Hotel was run down, fairly clean. Not many cars in the parking lot (must not have many king superior rooms at all). Check out was ok but not asked about my stay. Seems like she didn’t really care. Definitely not worth $95 a night.

Stayed here to visit Knoebels one weekend. Did not have a reservation, but was easily accommodated with a very clean dog friendly room. The staff was very friendly as well. Would definitely stay here again.
