Excellent hotel, very clean and nicely decorated, enjoyed our stay, would recommend the ocean view suites, well worth the extra $$. Easy parking, friendly staff, you can build a camp fire on the beach right in front of hotel, Would definitely come back.

If you enjoy hearing the crashing of waves and taking in the surfers riding the waves, the Lanai at the Cove is a wonderful place to stay. We lucked out ... the weather was great and only on the day we left did it rain. Close to downtown & restaurants and to many beaches that are easy and fun to walk. The room, while small, is fine for 2. The tiny kitchenette was adequate. The staff friendly and helpful. The heated swimming pool was relaxing. Our four days passed so quickly ... hope we can get back to the Lanai at the Cove in the near future.

Room Tip: All rooms on the beach side. Get highest floor. Sound insulation not the greatest.

I booked two nights at the :Lanai at the Cove Hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday. We go to the coast each year on her birthday as a tradition since she grew up in Australia playing in the tide pools at Bondi Beach near Sydney. The Lanai is in a perfect location just south of Seaside and north of Cannon Beach in Oregon. The tide pools were exposed due to a negative low tide so we had hours of peaceful exploration. The cove is quiet and uncrowded. The room had a marvelous view of the ocean and easy access to the beach. A perfect getaway.

Do you have the same feeling nowadays when you plan your travel? "Gosh, I hope they made it through the worst of the pandemic!" is our hope. Happily, The Lanai at The Cove in Seaside survived, and apparently thrived. Pleasant but unobtrusive staff who welcomed us back, but left us alone. The hotel seemed full but wasn't noisy -- book an upper floor to be sure! We had great weather, lovely sunsets and cozy evenings reading.... If you need to be in the middle of the bustle of the family resort town, stay elsewhere. This great place is just close enough to get to eateries easily while being quiet when you need it. It is an older building, so expect sound to carry room-to-room. Guests seem committed to honoring quiet hours at 11pm, though.
