#16 of 27 hotels in Seaside
The Hillcrest Inn recaptures the nostalgic charm of the Oregon Coast. Located only a half block from the beach, 2 blocks from downtown and the Convention Center and yet situated in a serene garden-like setting. In addition to cottages with fully equipped kitchens, there are mini-suites with partial kitchens, spa rooms and immaculate traditional rooms. There is a sauna and bbq on site for guests use. Many of our units are dog friendly. The 5-bedroom Hilldcrest House, perfect for reunions and group events, can sleep up to 16 people and is located immediately next door to the Hillcrest Inn.

Basically everything from the floors, to the walls, and ceiling inside this place desperately need renovation. It also smells like pets in here. I think dingy is probably the best word I can think of to describe it. It needs blackout curtains in the bed room. The towels and linens feel and appear to be clean. Also, the staff I talked to were very friendly. If you need a place that’s within walking distance to the beach, you need to bring your dogs and you’re not too picky, this is should be fine. However, I don’t think I would recommend this place to anyone personally until they make some improvements.

This is a really cute, older hotel. It has an excellent location very close to the beach and restaurants and shops of Seaside. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The lobby is warm and inviting, if small. Our room was large, quiet, and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The tub/shower had plenty of hot water. The room includes the expected amenities of microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Finding a parking spot might be difficult - this is a very popular and crowded area, but we were able to find a spot in the hotel parking area. We really enjoyed our stay here and would be happy to return.

Thank you, Ruth, Ashley and staff for your warm welcome, clean resort and overall hospitality. We had a change to our trip schedule that allowed us to book last minute for a trip to the coast. Lucky us that there was availability here! We so enjoyed chatting with Ruth and were impressed with how hard she worked to keep people safe during Covid while connecting with guests. Extra touches like snacks in the office and beach toys and blankets to borrow were appreciated! Thanks for making Logan’s first trip to the coast such a beautiful memory. He told us he wants to live there when he grows up. ;) We are already dreaming of another trip to the PNW.

Great location just a block from the ocean. Staff super friendly and helpful ... Ruth was excellent. Room was clean ... towels were great. Large room. Left an item in the room and Ruth called me immediately ... great customer service. Parking is adequate ... in three locations right next to the motel. Recommended.

We stayed here one night. I picked this place based on the reviews, especially about the friendly staff. Must have been different people. Ruth could stand to improve her customer service skills. We came at 2:30 to see if we could check in early. I got lectured about how I should have recieved a call the night before about check in at 4pm. I did,but she wasn't clear that the office didn't open until 4pm,which isn't a big deal, but more tact would be helpful. She also runs this place like she's a prison guard. I appreciate needing to keep an eye on things, but wow. Don't you dare be caught without a mask for a minute on the property. Too much control for my taste. I've traveled many different places through the years, and this was a first. The younger lady was really kind.
