This place is Horrible! A SCAM! Do not stay here if you are planning to eat and relax in your room! I was charge extra $150 for cleaning fee. FOR THE SMELL OF THE ROOM! They called me 3 days after we checked out! there was no damage to the property. We left it nice and clean. I have all the pictures and videos to prove that we ate outside the room. We checked in past 10pm. We checked out the following day 11am. We were out all day. The only thing we heat up there was the mac and cheese that we bought from the store across the street. I was trying to explain and argue that we did not eat inside. Nothing in the policy says, that the smell of the food can be grounds for charging a cleaning fee. ($150!!!!) Why do you have a microwave inside if we can't heat up the food! This place is terrible! not clean, smells like dog and their bed is not even comfortable. Will never go back here again!. DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE! there's a lot more nicer places in this area.

If you want to be right on one of Oregon’s longest lovely beaches at a reasonable price, you may be willing to overlook the lack of amenities. No housekeeping service except on special request (though you can leave towels outside your room if you want them exchanged.) It seemed clean enough but you have to wonder when you find leftover coffee in the coffee maker’s carafe. Great view, worth the upgrade for an upstairs room (the ground floor rooms are divided into smaller spaces and lack privacy when guests are using the backyard. Although the location is close to “all the town has to offer” be advised that the town has very little, and even in August there were very few restaurants open for dinner midweek. But if you want to be on the beach in seconds at any time of day and sleep to the sound of waves, this is a great location. (Photo is view from our room)

You know how there are scumbags out in the world? This place is where they work. Booked the room in early May for this August weekend. Location is listed as pet friendly. Search and filter used - Pet Friendly. Drove 10.5 hours with my 15 year old black lab. Hotel tells me I did not book a dog friendly room. Tried to show my reservation which said this is a dog friendly hotel, she did not look at it and told me to leave. They do not have a room available. She also refused to show me her reservation which says not dog friendly. She had no paper work in hand. I asked what to do? She gave me a list of pet friendly hotels but that nothing is available or over $450 a night. I obviously started crying and asked again what do I do, I have no where to go. Was still given zero support. Asked to speak with the manager. I was given a manager email and told cannot speak directly with management. I sent email of issue. While trying to call other hotels I received the rudest voicemail I have ever heard from “Manager”. She told me to vacate the property and stop harassing her staff. I guess crying and requesting to see my reservation is harassment now. Management also told me the website & reservation has it written “over and over and over and over that it is not dog friendly”. Closest hotel I could find, 2.5 hours from the beach, $40 more a night, and during a 100 degree heat wave. Wish I could attach the astoundingly rude voicemail for you all to hear. Do not give these people your trust or money!

For 168.00 I expect a room that is clean and has enough furniture so that luggage does not have to go on a dirty floor. I also expect the towels will be bleached, not dingy grayish and thin from years of hard use. Not here. The bedspread was filthy, the windows dirty and caked dirt in every corner. There was no A/C, and no fans, tho they were happy to tell you where you could drive 20 miles to buy one. The room smelled stale and dirty. The bathroom window had no curtain, just see thru, crinkled stick-on paper. The bedroom "oceanfront" window only opened halfway, so any breeze coming in the 1st floor window from the sand dune in front of it was negligible. Oceanfront? Maybe, but all we saw was dunes, Very disappointing. People were smoking in front of our room, out on the grass until midnight. Smelly, with the window open by necessity on a hot night. Kids were jumping on the thin floor above us till after midnight. Our bed squeaked everytime you moved a leg or arm. The mattress on the left side under the brown bedskirt was stained, like a dog had urinated on it. There was no ice to be found. The clerk was not grouchy, but was very curt in her answers to our questions. I should have left, as did the person staying in the room next to us. The beach may be beautiful here but the bottom floor, single queen bed, rooms are bad, very bad. The 2 keys system with a blank card key is laughable and shows how very little they care. Go somewhere else.

At first I was skeptical the quality of this accommodation based on other reviews in Trip Advisor and Google, however, it was unfounded and untrue. The facilities, although is older, was great. It seems that they have updated the rooms. It was clean and nice. The staff were very kind, helpful, and non-intrusive. Our room had a kitchenette which was a plus and another plus is a grocery within a short walking distance. Although there wasn't any air conditioner, it was fine because the ocean breeze/air cooled the room very nicely especially at night (we were here in the first week of August). They do have a ceiling fun. But if you easily get hot, you might want to bring your own fan. The location is right on the beach, Rockaway Beach. Walking on the beach everyday we were there was wonderful and watching the sunset everyday was an experience when there was no fog. It was a convenient location in that it was halfway along the coast and we were able to drive both north and south of the coast during our stay and allowed us to explore the Oregon Coast very easily. I would highly recommend anyone, friends, and family to stay here. The rate that we paid to stay here was a good buy. I will definitely come back to stay here when I return to visit Oregon. Silver Sands, thank you so much for the wonderful stay and experience in staying at your property. Our stay was a total of 4 days/nights. A++++++
