We stayed at the Nines for 3 days. Patrick the concierge was outstanding. He was able to get reservations for all our requests. The champagne for our anniversary was an unexpected treat. Zareena in the Urban Farmer was a terrific server. The hotel is a pleasure to stay in.

The Nines Hotel is a very luxurious hotel with unique art pieces that you will see throughout the hotel. When you walk in The Nines hotel, on the first floor, you will see valet check-in and then from there, you will get directions on where/how to park your car at the property. From there, they will ask you to go up to the 8th floor and that is where the lobby is. The Nines has 331 rooms with 9 stories (why it’s called The Nines hotel) and serval meeting/ballrooms. This hotel also features a nice living room behind the front desk where you can relax at and there is a bright sky light that has very nice soft lighting. There is also a library and a barrel room on the same floor as the lobby however, it is only reserved for meeting spaces. The amenities of the hotel are free coffee and tea daily at the lobby but if you want them to bring it up to your room, you can request that (there is no coffee nor tea maker at your room). There is also a 24-hour fitness room, a rooftop patio on the 15th floor (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), 24 hour room service, complimentary Wi-Fi, laundry service, daily housekeeping, and is pet-friendly (please read the terms on their website on more about pets). On the 12th floor, there is also a club room, however that is closed for now until next year. The hotel has two restaurant: one of them is Urban Farmer which is open from 7am-2pm and 5-11pm everyday and Departure which is open from 4-11pm and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Both of them are very beautiful and upscale restaurants that you must check out! When I first walked in, this guest room was very beautiful. There was a bathrobe, slippers, and there was also a champagne/wine bottle with snacks in the room as well (but you will need to pay a fee if you decided to eat their snacks and drinks. There is also a fridge to store food and a safe as well to lock your belongings but there is no microwave. The coffee/tea maker will be on the 8th floor as there is none in your room however at any time or day, you can request room service to bring it up to you in your room so you don’t need to go down. I saw some unique architecture as well carried on from the lobby. The lamps were very quirky, the wallpaper had a nice design, and I saw a pretty light fixure on the corner of my room. The bathroom was also a very nice large size comapred to other hotels. They provided with you shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the shower. There are also clean towels and a hair dryer as well in the bathroom. The only thing about the bathroom was that the floors were very cold so you would need to wear slippers or shoes since there are no heated floors. You get that nice, artistic, and luxurious feel with pops of blue and it’s a bougie vibe to feel. My view was very nice because it overlooked Downtown Portland with many buildings and had a nice city vibe when you look outside. There was a concert that is going on in Pioneer Courthouse Square so you can hear the concert going on since the hotel is next to the square however, you should still get a goodnight sleep since the concert doesn’t go all night. It’s just during the afternoon/early evening. There is a bit of noise since you are in the Downtown Area however, it wasn’t super loud and I still slept well. If you are going to stay at The Nines, be careful around that area because there are some sketchy people roaming the area however, it wasn’t too bad when I stayed there. Just always be aware of your surroundings and be careful. Overall, this hotel has been an amazing, luxurious, glamours, and artist hotel that is relaxing, eye-popping, and extravagant! Very clean hotel with the sweetest staff at the hotel and it makes you feel you are living the lux life! I think the biggest selling point about the hotel is that 15th floor rooftop patio where it overlooks Portland, OR. It’s such a nice place to hangout and there are cozy fire pits for you to get comfortable at too plus a bar area for drinks. Huge shoutout to Cruz who took me on the hotel tour, Anandi for checking me in and out of the hotel, and Joseph who checked up on me during my visit! These people are amazing and can help you out whenever you are at The Nines Hotel! Want a luxurious stay during your visit to Portland, make sure you book with The Nines Hotel!

In addition to having the best location, the 8th floor lobby is very relaxing with hidden amenities like a pool table in the library off the main room. I also always receive fantastic service as well. Patrick the concierge helped me create a tiny special event for a friend's birthday that was visiting me at the hotel. Highly recommended.

The good things - very nice staff all around, speedy room service, a nice view of the court house, good Wi-Fi, and comfortable beds. The bad - I booked a deluxe king with city view which I thought would be a bit roomier than the standard rooms. However, it was extremely tiny - we had absolutely no place to put our two suitcases - and there was no couch as advertised on the website. It was also pretty dirty - cobwebs on the windows, stained curtains (coffee maybe?), dusty side table, no working fan in the bathroom, etc. The curtains themselves didn’t close all the way, so it was bright in the morning. They also fill the small fridge with products to buy so you can’t store any of your own items. No slippers offered, and you have to call to get a coffee machine delivered to the room. One other note - it’s extremely noisy with the tram outside, plus homeless people literally screaming on the street throughout the night. This is not the hotel’s fault, but something to be aware of when booking in this neighborhood.

I travel a lot for both business and pleasure, so this wasn't my first stay at The Nines, and it certainly won't be my last. My first stay was back in March of 2022, and was an absolutely flawless experience. I came back in July with some last minute reservations, and while the check in process was only slightly delayed, it was made all the better by the exceptional customer service provided by our front desk member, Joseph M. While the room was only marginally delayed, we enjoyed the service and food facilitated by Nicole and the bartender at Urban Farmer, all while Joseph ensured we were satisfied and ensured we got a immaculate room with exceptional view. I cannot emphasize the value of customer service to the degree provided by Joseph, as that is why I will continue to trust The Nines for any future stays in Portland. Clean room, brilliant views, wonderful amenities, and exceptional service. Trust The Nines for any of your future stays in Portland.

As much as we anticipated our trip to the Pacific Northwest, living in Southeast Florida, it was a most pleasant experience. We truly had a fabulous and wonderful time. We can’t choose any single event that wowed us the most! Every minute of everyday was better and better. We could not have been more welcomed than THE Friends at THE NINES with the absolute guidance of the concierge desk. Kudos to PATRICK McNIERNEY. Hopefully, we will return one day! America the Beautiful!

Had a great stay at The Nines! Restaurants were delightful and served tasty food. Rooms and service were deluxe. The valet was convenient and communicative. Our valet Timothy was kind and dropped the car off swiftly. We'll be coming back!
