I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast buffet was best I’ve seen for one included with the room. The evening social was nice. The room felt a bit cramped but the bed was comfortable. Staff is friendly and welcoming.
Haven't stayed at an Embassy Suites in quite a long time. Fast friendly check in. Very large and nice lobby. Adequate sized room with comfortable bed and good WiFi. Was a bit noisy the night we were there with people in the hallways til the wee hours of the morning. Full complimentary hot breakfast. Complimentary coffee was also available in lobby in the morning. Convenient to everything downtown! Overall a nice stay and would definitely stay again!
We stayed at the Embassy Suites/Pine street in Portland for a three night visit. The restored lobby is amazing and beautiful. The front desk staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was complimentary and delicious, with an omelet station. My only reservation is the parking fee. Parking is in a garage across the street and is $43/night for self park and $53/night for valet. Quite an upcharge on an otherwise reasonable room fee. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again!
When we went to our suite upon arriving, I began the process of using sanitizing wipes on all the "high touch" surfaces. I noticed quite a bit of dust on the furniture. As I was heading to the bedroom, my husband complained about how much dust was in the air. He said that when he sat on the couch, a cloud of dust floated into the air. After that the smell and eye irritation, made it clear that we could not stay in the room. I went to the lobby to ask for a different room. Cynthia told us that she would send us to a different room after she had someone from housekeeping "check" the room. I went back to the room and we waited for her call a long time. I texted her asking when the room would be ready. She said that the room had been ready for awhile but she forgot to call us. That room was better, but we were already coughing a lot. It is now Monday. We were there on Wednesday night and my husband and I are still coughing. The next morning I sent a text about the coughing and about the fact that my husband is pursuing treatment at the Eye Institute at Good Sam and we would have to spend several nights in town over the next months, but although Embassy Suites was the most convenient, I was hesitant. I rec'd a response from Wade saying that the hotel had rooms called Pur Allergy free rooms. He told me he was crediting my Hilton account with 5000 points (which I see is about $25). He told me that the PUR rooms were a little more expensive. I really think that points are a very small compensation for such a terrible experience. I would have expected a credit or a promise that we could have a PUR room at no extra cost if we returned. The dirty room combined with the reception person's delay in moving us are not in keeping with what I would have expected from Hilton. …
I was traveling for a conference decided to arrive early and spend a few days at the Embassy Suites. The location is very convenient to the Red line from the airport. It's also close to many downtown sites as well as walking distance to a variety of stores and restaurants. The staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived. The young man at the valet desk provided us with a map that called out several nearby sites. The front desk staff were also very friendly and professional. The building is a former Macy's from the late 1800s - stunning! The decor is modern and attractive. Our one bedroom suite is among the largest I've seen at any Embassy Suites location. Both the bedroom and living area were quite generous. We regretted not bring swim gear - the pool area is also nicely equipped and laid out. Breakfast was very good featuring a nice variety of items. The omlette station chef was particularly charming AND she did an amazing job. The evening reception offered a decent selection of drink options and plenty of cheese and veggies to snack on. Would highly recommend this Embassy Suites to anyone visiting Portland and looking to stay in the downtown area.…
