Pricey rooms but worth it for the location and ambiance. Beautiful hotel, lovely grounds to walk around with several paths and great sculptures. The hotel rooms are quiet and luxurious. The lounge/Jory restaurant are lively on the weekends and relaxing during the week. Food and staff at Jory was consistently excellent. Will definitely be back.

The Allison Inn was a wonderful respite to come back to after all of our wine tastings. So much time in the car from winery to winery, we were always happy to come back to the Allison and relax, whether is was a walk through the gardens or a cocktail in the bar.

We stayed at the Allison during a wine tasting trip with out of town friends. The word my wife used to express how she felt staying in our room and walking the art path at the Allison was "Zen". This Inn feels intimate despite be quite large. The service and staff are top notch. Sipping wine and/or coffee on a cool drizzly day near the nice real wood fire in the lounge was quite cozy. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was heavenly comfortable and was the topic of conversation with our guest the following morning - we all remarked how well we had slept. We are already discussing our return trip.

Had a fabulous stay at The Allison, wonderfully maintained property, excellent staff. Location was great for wine tasting in the upper part of the valley, we visited 7 vineyards and all were within a 20 min drive. Lovely grounds as well. Literally can't think of anything that wasn't quite right, they even had the bed made up as requested with the right pillows (something that I often put in the reservation but never seems to actually happen). Highly recommend!

We went to the Allison to celebrate my wife's birthday for a night. The place was relaxing and perfectly appointed as always. The pool is heavenly and dinner at the bar was excellent. Unfortunately, the spa isn't operating during the week, but still an excellent experience notwithstanding.
