I stay at almost exclusively Hampton Inns when I travel for business. First, the good - no masks required and hot breakfast is back! Even though it's the usual pre-covid menu, it really beats the bagged breakfasts they had served during Covid. The staff was great and very helpful every time I had a question or issue. Kudos to the staff! However, this property has several things that are not up to the normal Hampton standards compared to other Hampton properties I've stayed at. First, they only have 23 onsite parking spaces for the entire hotel! There are 2 additional spaces available after 5 pm. Park in the wrong spot and you get towed. Second, wifi is very weak at the elevator. You need to use your room key card to operate the elevator but wifi doesn't work in the elevator so forget about using the in app digital key like you do for your room door. If you are used to using the digital key, you might as well get in the habit of always carrying your room key also. If you don't use the digital key in the app then it's not a big deal. Third, when you turn the TV on you have to find the button under the bottom of the TV to activate the menu and switch the input to HDMI2 every time you turn it on. It doesn't save the setting. Not a huge deal but super annoying! Currently (June 2021) the indoor pool and fitness room are being remodeled/repaired and are unavailable. Wish I would have known this before I booked the room since it was in the mid-90s during my trip and the pool would have been nice to been able to use. Not sure how long the remodel will take.…
Called ahead to inquire about “early check-in” by any chance, since we were breezing in and had to get ready quick to attend a 5 P.M. wedding at The Silo (amazing venue BYW). Michelle was so caring and said she would do everything she could to make a room available and SHE DID! We were a little later and more rushed than we had planned and she was welcoming and let us park nearby for a quick exit once we were ready! Room was comfy, clean and top 9th floor facing the downtown lights thanks to Michelle! Breakfast was plentiful and warm (egg/potato frittatas YUM and many other options including waffles/hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, etc.) Staff wore masks, visitors however not so much, which was rather startling. We traveled from a county in Kansas with mandated masking still and we wore ours in the breakfast area, lobby and elevators...we were in the minority. Would totally stay again! Our first time experience set the bar high! Thanks Downtown Tulsa Hampton! …
I had my car towed from a space the hotel directed me to park in. When I asked for help to get my car back the rude, unprofessional General Manager laughed in my face and told me she didn’t care! I would recommend staying at an establishment near by.
We visited the Hampton Inn as part of attending Ironman Tulsa, and the hotel was super helpful to guests, offering a special early breakfast, a shuttle to the race site for guests, rags for cleaning bikes, etc. The staff, and especially the manager Michelle, was super helpful with the local area and very friendly. The full in-person breakfast was also outstanding.
Had 4 rooms for a weekend wedding of my daughter. One child is in a wheelchair. I had reserved a room for her with an accessible bath. When we arrived the asst. manager immediately went on the offensive with me by saying I had reserved the wrong room. One that was hearing disabled. I had a confirmation showing the room I had reserved. With a handicap bathroom. She was so ridiculous I’ve never been treated so poorly at any hotel. Her name was Stephanine and she also never acknowledged my status nor offered me a check in gift. I was frankly shocked. She was very pleasant the rest of the stay. The hotel was otherwise very nice and the rest of the staff were fantastic. Breakfast was good. Great location downtown. Parking was a little tight. Nice rooms and comfy beds. The pool was closed.…
