We stayed at Minsted Manor farm campsite on the first weekend after the UK lockdown. It is a small site with only a handful of pitches. Very peaceful. The campsite overlooks a beautiful field, lake and forestry. It was accessible to local amenities and run by a lovely family.
fairly easy to find, about 2 miles from lyndhurst-cadnam road, take it easy over the bumps on the farm track before it opens up to a long camping field with about 12 sites, max of 7 while we were there.covid restrictions in place so need your own facilities but looks like everything you would need are in place.lovely views down to lake and sat watching deer every morning over breakfast.very quite and very dark. we will be back.
We loved this site. It's peaceful and quiet. We set up a bird-feeder, which attracted blue-tits many times. The showers and toilets are clean. We didn't see the owners at any time while we spent 5 night here - a notice board told us where to set up the caravan. We enjoyed our stay here.
Wanted a weekend at the end of October in the New Forest and found this on the Camping and Caravanning website. We've stayed in several sites across the Forest and this is amongst the best. Only 11 pitches with all but one having 240V. All pitches spaced well apart with all bar one giving lovely views across fields towards a lake. Very easy to find with good basic facilities. Definitely will be back next year
Quiet, beautiful well managed but not manicured site. Everything you need and great location, really lovely spot amongst the trees. Family run business and they were all really friendly and helpful. Fresh free range eggs too! We can't wait to go back.
