Helen said 'In Zambia where I'm from originally you have to do National Service so I know how to handle an AK47' As a Zambian watching I felt a mixture of confusion and embarassment - at no time in the history of Zambia have we ever been mandated to enlist in the army for any type of military service - Zambia is not a military state. Anybody who knows 'how to handle an AK47' must have enlisted voluntarily.

Couldn't fault this b&b run brilliantly by Nick & Judith. Great value for money, room was excellent, with massive and very comfortable bed. Bathroom was immaculately clean, with big white fluffy towels and all necessary toiletries. Despite being on the main road into Lyndhurst, we did have peaceful night sleep. The house has two off road spaces, but there's also plenty of room on the quiet street. It's literally less than 100m walking distance to Lyndhurst town centre with pubs, restaurants and shops for every taste. Breakfast was well organised - you order the night before, and they have it ready for you at the time you want. We had an early start to go horse trekking and they had breakfast ready and waiting for us as required. Breakfast is freshly cooked, great food and plenty of choice. 100% would return, and highly recommend.

My wife and enjoyed a nights stay at Avalon B&B and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The b&b is conveniently located in the heart of the New Forest, so places of interest are well within easy driving distance if your visiting the New Forest or Hampshire in general. The attractive town of Lyndhurst is only a few minutes walk away so you can leave the car behind and stroll into town which has an abundance of places to wine & dine. The accommodation its-self is clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was tasty and well cooked, no problems there. Judith and Nick where oblivious working hard to make everyone's stay enjoyable. Remember, our stay was in the mist of the Covid-19 pandemic and all should know how difficult it is to manage guest accommodation and keep everyone comfortable and safe. Well done both. We hope to repeat our stay in the not too distant future.

What a lovely guest house this is. We felt so comfortable from the very first time we stepped through the door. The owners greeted us and showed us to our room which was decorated very tastefully and clean. A lot of thought and tender loving care has been given to this guest house and the owners are very kind. The breakfast is scrumptious and served hot and with a welcoming smile. Would we go back, the answer is YES!!!!!! Thank you both for making our stay very special. Caz & Mark
