Stayed here while attending 2 day golf school & it was a good choice. Got there at 0730 but girl in clubhouse let me put my stuff in room and freshen up which was a really welcome touch. Room was quiet & spotless and food in clubhouse was great as were all the staff . Would definitely stay there again.
My wife and I have stayed at Sedlescombe Golf Hotel and Golf School on two previous occasions. I attended golf coaching classes whilst my wife played tennis and went sightseeing. On both of our previous stays the hotel, club house, food and golf coaching were excellent. We returned again in October 2020 as this year my wife has taken up golf, my handicap is 10. We decided to book a 2 night stay and both enrolled on 3 half days (4 hrs per day) mixed ability golf classes. We are very pleased to say that we were not disappointed and once again had a great time. Our room was spacious clean and tidy with a large bathroom and bath. It would have been perfect had we had a proper shower as well. The breakfast and lunch were of excellent quality, unfortunately evening meals were not being served due to the Covid-19 situation. It was nice to see Sam again, she is a superb host with great personality and enthusiasm who along with the other staff made us feel welcome and at home. Tom North our professional golf coach was brilliant, he was patient, knowledgeable and made us feel at easy. As a results of Tom’s intensive coaching I could see a substantial improvement in my wife’s confidence and golf (she even got a birdie on one of the holes on the par 3 course). I felt that I had improved my game and learnt a lot from the 3 sessions I had with Tom. We were please to see plenty of hand sanitizer around the hotel and golf facilities. A real effort had been made to keep the guests and staff safe. If you are sightseeing in this area or want to improve you golf we would highly recommend that you stay at the Sedlescombe Golf Hotel and Golf School, you should not be disappointed. We will be returning again next year.…
Would’ve given 5 stars if there had been a shower in the room! The rooms were very good otherwise, nice size and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and evening meal were very good. Enjoyed the golf course and it did survive the wet weather apart from the bunkers which were full of water.
We stayed here for the night as we were going to see Christmas at Bedgebury. The lady in the clubhouse was very polite and welcoming, the room was very spacious and clean. Took a while to work out the heating but in fairness there was instructions on the bed 😂😂. Bathroom was a decent size ours didn’t have a shower but had a lovely big bath with shower attachment so could not fault The bar closed fairly early but we were allowed to take a drink back to the room and relax so all was good. Breakfast the next morning was very good, good selection and not rushed to finish. If I had to say One thing I wasn’t expecting our bed to be two singles pushed together, but as everything else was so good it really didn’t matter
I booked a 3 day golf school for my wife and because it was in November she ended up one to one, which was great. The accommodation was really nice and very reasonably priced with an excellent breakfast included. Only downside was that the course was very wet (closed one day) but the par 3 is challenging and in drier conditions it looks a great course to play. Very helpful staff throughout.
