Detailed Reviews
In a city like Guwahati, one would expect to have many choices for accommodation. Strangely Radisson Blu and Vivanta, which are basically economy versions of their full fledged hotels, are charging higher than a Marriott or a Taj in a city like Bengaluru. I was happy to see this hotel at a reasonable price. The rooms were great, the location also good. Cant find much fault with the hotel, we got early checkin by paying a small amount too.
I would have given 5 stars but for a not so good experience in the restaurant. We wanted to have some authentic Assamese cuisine and we were assured the chef there is very good. So we ordered Assamese delicacies like maas tenga and local style chicken curry, only to be severely disappointed. Being conversant with Assamese cuisine, I could understand that the chef made some mish mash and served it to us, perhaps not anticipating that we would know how the authentic ones taste. These dishes were off menu so we ended up paying higher for food we wish we hadn’t ordered. Hence downgrading my rating from 5 to 4 stars. Otherwise, this hotel is a safe bet.

We chose this lesser known hotel quite far off from central Guwahati only bcoz it had a swimming pool but phew! Upon reaching there we got to know that the Assam CM hasn’t allowed swimming pools to be operational in Assam ever since the beginning of covid. So that was a big setback. But otherwise the hotel was of 5 star category…amazing rooms and bathrooms. Food was exorbitantly priced but as per 5 star hotel standards I guess. Staff was good, helpful, friendly.
If the swimming pool is not opened soon, guests should opt for Radisson which is closer to the airport so that they can atleast save the time and effort of traveling when you have to pay high anyways.

Seven days on road travelling Meghalaya, visiting great places, appreciating nature’s bounty to the beautiful north east and having a bad experience at Shillong hotel , we, the four couples carried a suspicious and fearful feeling about how will we be treated at Guwahati and what kind of hotel we will be staying. I called up in advance from Shillong itself to check the facilities (since we were having a real bad time at Shillong hotel) but the person who received my call, Mr. Roopak, was extremely comforting and cool. He assured me of best facilities still we walked in with fingers crossed. The two days experience at Hotel Lily, just before we fly back to Delhi was a total bliss. Roopak is an ever smiling, always anticipating requirements and offering best support. The rooms were big, comfortable and gives every reason to relax. Every service can be termed as “Top Class”. The restaurant, the bar and the breakfast, I can say is a bundle of taste and efficiency. Roopak guided us to a local Assamese food joint “Jo-Sag” on our request and it turned out to be world class cuisine experience. Our breakfast spread was very exhaustive, mixed with Indian, continental and Assamese. Overall all eight of us had a wonderful time at hotel Lily. The location is a added advantage to be here. The area is full of happening restaurants, the famous sweet shop “Govindam “ is walking distance and the famous Kamakhya temple is 17 Kms away. I will highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Guwahati.

Some of the rooms are well maintained and the rest need urgent care. I had to ask for a room change at 11:00 pm in the night cause inspite of complaining that the ac wasnt working, they asked me to wait till literally midnight to change the room.
The staff unfortunately doesn't value privacy. As a female traveler, I would notice they spent too much time in teh room every time they came. They wouldn't leave till asked to leave. They need to be trained to either be friendly or non-obtrusive.

Rooms are really decent with all the basic amenities and competent room service.
However there are some caveats to the overall experience. Food is horrible and is grossly overpriced and absolutely not worth the asking price. Many times you have to fight the management for even a decent meal. Also the WiFi, although free is very inconsistent and slow. Even the staff are incompetent in general.
The complacency of the hotel management is the main reason I advise you to save your money and go somewhere else. These people don't deserve your hard earned money.

The quality of food is unimaginable for a hotel like this. The price is also too much for the price and the staff isn't able to comply with half of our requests.
However the rooms are decent but there are also bad ones around. Location is also good as well.

Great experience in our recent visit to Guwahati. This is a beautiful hotel, conveniently located on a main road with easy access to the rest of the city and to drive to other towns in the north east. The amenities were luxurious, and the staff was professional and friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a wide range of items from cornflakes to idli, dosas, momo, poha, cappuccino, masala chai and many other items. We ate well! The hotel has a great spa and swimming pool too. We enjoyed our time there thoroughly and will definitely visit again

Located away from the busy centre of the city, though still on a main road. Initially the fascade of the hotel, foyer and modern elevators are very impressive, but rooms are not of the same "flashy" standard.... they are adequate, but not luxury. The bathrooms show a bit of ageing, but overall it was quite comfortable. We had dinner in their dining room and staff were attentive and food of good quality.

Most probably yes.
This is not a b&b hotel for sure. Hotel with multiple amenities.
"Overpriced hotel. Pool and spa are dysfunctional. Gym is in poor state. Restaurant services take long time so order in advance. "Read full review
