A great stay at New Ings Lodge yet again. Our second time but delayed by covid. Glad we were able to make it. Well decorated, clean and very comfortable. Great base for a large party and to explore the lakes and chill.

Room, service and facilities were great. Was welcomed by a really friendly member of staff and chess in was easy. The building feels like it may have previously been a youth hostel but it was clean, modern and comfortable. The room was nice with a good en-suite. My only negative was the breakfast. Over the coast to coast walk I had many cooked breakfasts. I just ordered a bacon sandwich here - it was inedible. Really thick white uncooked fat - I think it had barely been cooked. As you can see, I have still given 4 stars, it would have been 5 if the breakfast had been ok.

A great place to stay whether in the house, bunkhouse or the campsite. The house accommodation was great including a decent shower that was much needed after a 15-mile hike from Patterdale. The owners have made a superb job of the internal decoration with some interesting art work/posters. The on-site bar was welcome. Breakfast was brilliant and set us up for the next stage of the walk.

Another fantastic stay for a friends get together. The team at New Ing have been so accommodating as we’ve tried to sort dates throughout the pandemic. The place is amazing, providing enough space for each family whilst we could share the communal areas for a good catch up. Outside space is huge for the kids to run around. Added addition was the sauna which was a great treat. Having a little hut hub added would be the icing on the cake… hint hint. Hoping to organise a return with the gang!
