Honestly it was pretty bad, especially if the beach is a priority for you. It smells bad, gross to walk on, gross to swim near and it attracts insects. Overall there is still lots of fun to be had, but the beach was gross. I didn't see any while scuba diving, but snorkelling was bad - its always touching you. I was told it was temporary - from a recent storm - but I've also heard its a chronic problem from climate change.
