grounds were beautiful and because of Rain, we were not able to ultize the many opportunities afforded outdoors. The indoor pool was very nice and comfortable. Rooms are a bit different , in that you can hear neighbors talking and tv sounds.

We were very pleasantly surprised with our oceanfront 2 bedroom accommodation. Although older, it was so spacious and comfortable. Nice and clean. Having 2 fireplaces especially loving the one in the master bedroom and bathroom, enjoying the jacuzzi tub, was a real treat. Beds a

We would like to go to Vancouver BC on Saturday morning from your resort. Where do we catch the ferry and what are the hours?
Good Day, The Ferry leaves from Nanaimo at either the Duke Point Terminal or Departure Bay Terminal. it is best to view the times on their website as there may be sailing waits. If you would like a copy of the schedule please contact the resort or front desk directly and we can print you a copy of the schedule.

I was planning on booking a room in late September 2017 for three weekday nights using RCI points. After reading some of the reviews about the exchanges, I'm hesitant. Sounds like they book you into the worse rooms! Anyone have a good comment about RCI exchanges?
Our experience with RCI and Pacific Shores was pretty much a big disappointment (peruse my review of November, 2016, BEWARE OF YOUR SHARE). The Smoke & Water Restaurant was well worth a look, but certainly the only bright spot in our time there (we did not stay for the full visit). My wife and I would not repeat this mistake and in our opinion, it was a poorly planned exchange by the RCI programme.

I have booked two rooms, one is a studio & the other is a one bed room. Can we request to have both rooms as close together as possible? Does the one bed room unit have a full kitchen? We will be coming in on 11/25 and I hope it will be a good stay.
If you have booked a studio and a 1 bedroom unit that would be considered a 2 bedroom unit by Pacific Shores. The units will be connected by a common door. The 1 bedroom unit would be complete and would have a kitchen in it and the studio would have a bedroom and bathroom with possibly a small fridge and microwave.

I just booked a 2/2 sleeps 8 for a full week next summer. How can I be assured that we will be given an updated, above ground condo with a balcony and sea view?
How did you make the reservation? Online booking site or Pacific Shores own site? Either way I would suggest calling P.S. directly quote your reservation number and ask about your preference. Us island folks are pretty accommodating...😎

How far is the trip from Pacific Shores Resort to Vancouver on the Ferry?
Pacific Shores is on Vancouver Island less than an hour driving from either of the ferries arriving from the Vancouver area to the Nanaimo area. You can get to Vancouver Island by car from Port Angeles, or from Anancortes and there is also the ferry to Swartz Bay (Victoria area). If you have been to Victoria you probably are familiar with at least one of these routes. We have stayed in two 1 bedroom units. One of these had a narrow ocean view. I believe that the 2 bedroom units have more ocean view. My advice is to phone them and ask about the view. Then go through booking and request an ocean view. Compare prices before you book on the phone.
