Situ Island Lodge was the ultimate way to end off an amazing family holiday to the Quirimbas..The setting is Idyllic and the lodge is beautifully located with a reserve in front of the beach. The rooms are virtually on the beach and the lodge area is welcoming and relaxed. We were there for four days and whilst it does apparently have amazing dive spots - we are not divers and we still thoroughly enjoyed the snorkelling, fishing, bird watching, kayaking and swimming. Tess and Craig (and Mischief) are perfect hosts - they definitely make the Lodge the special place that it is. We would highly recommend Situ and would love to be back.

Wow, what a beautiful slice of paradise we stumbled upon. Rustic and delightfully casual and a dream holiday for us who love it that way. Craig and Tess were the most delightful and accommodating hosts and within days we felt as if Situ was ours to enjoy. What an amazing disposition the staff have who smile and nothing is too much for them. The food.... Craig can cook up a storm, with or without a stove. We enjoyed the most superb sashimi even the foreigners who had never tried this cleared their plates and to follow, fresh king mackerel on the barbeque, flame grilled to perfection with a little wasabi mayo. Food fit for kings. Not to mention grilled calamari, prawn pastas and crayfish salads served daily. Craig your seafood dishes were a surprise and delight every day.

It's been 20 years since I travel extensively around the world and I have never experienced hosts like Tess and Craig and their team at Situ. Tess is a sophisticated thinker, diver extraordinaire, fun mastermind that will make you feel really at home and will make sure your experience at Situ is everything you expected and more! And after all the fun, you can come back to Craig's excellent cooking. This lodge is vegetarian friendly, eco-friendly and family friendly. You can't go wrong. Thanks everybody at Situ. Missing you all!

This is a lovely, peaceful, eight casita resort where the managers, Tess and Craig, are most attentive to their guests. Together they lead diving, snorkeling and fishing adventures and cook up some fabulous food. They were unaware we were vegetarian for our four night stay, yet managed creative, tasty dishes nonetheless. The staff is equally attentive and helpful. The villas are very comfortable, all solar powered and all facing westward to the sea, with fans above the bed. Our bed was a king, and they also have rooms with single beds. The bathroom had three separate, spacious areas and shower water can be saved in a bucket for later use in the garden. In front is a porch with two comfortable beds for relaxing. Tess and Craig arrange the transfers to and from Pemba or other

An amazing eco-friendly island in the Qurimibas Archipelago, Northern Mozambique. Lovely, homely, comfortable chalets that lead directly onto the beach. Snorkeling was out of this world and we will return with dive qualifications to explore more of the stunning underwater world. Quiet, peaceful nature lovers paradise. Don't miss out on the mangrove swamp kayaking - delightful! Loved the behind the scenes tour of the eco aware theme of the island including desalination plant and solar powered plant. NO GENERATOR - what bliss! Fantastic romantic breakaway. Watching the sunset from a hammock on my private veranda was spectacular. Next time we will definitely take the kids.
