Detailed Reviews
This was our second trip to Situ, and we were so happy to find that it was every bit as special as it had been the first time, two years ago. What makes Situ stand out from other island lodges is the laid back and relaxed atmosphere of the lodge, the amazing attitude of staff and management towards their guests and the exceptional home style cooking, with delicious seafood dishes created from fresh, locally sourced produce. The fishing and diving in the area is amazing, and as good as one could expect anywhere in Mozambique. The lodge is small and personal, and you feel like you are in a comfortable family environment when you are there. The managers of Situ are Craig and Tessa, a welcoming couple, who bend over backwards for their guests. I have travelled to many coastal and island lodges in the Indian ocean and Situ remains in my top three.

This splendid resort is managed by the marvelous couple, Tess and Craig. Tess is a fabulous diver and remarkable underwater photographer. She captures the full up sea life with skill and clarity. Craig produces magical sustenance from his kitchen mixing and matching available food with finesse and culinary skill.
There is much to do to keep one busy if so inclined . Scuba diving, snorkeling ,deep sea fishing( One of the best rigged boats I have fished from)and walks.
A fantastic 10 days at Situ .😄🐟🐬🐠

A uniquley African barefoot-luxury experience!
A remarkable eco-friendly lodge right on the beach in the Quirimbas Archipelago. Its comfortable villas, friendly staff, sumptuous meals, ice cold beverages and extraordinary diving and fishing make this one of East Africa's hidden gems.
It's a short 1 hour boat transfer from Pemba and then you are in a tropical paradise, with fishing, diving, snorkelling, kayaking right on your doorstep! A must visit destination!

The most amazing time at Situ. Staff are amazing and made us feel so welcome. Service is excellent. Predi does an amazing job at running the lodge. Fishing was excellent with 4 species and 11 fish caught in 4 hours of fishing. Food was excellent. Rooms very comfortable. Proper beach feeling throughout the lodge. Will definitely return.

We traveled in a group and after arriving at Pemba were met by Craig and his team for the boat ride to Situ. We were very impressed with the way the resort is run by Craig and Tess and the rest of the staff who were very friendly. During our weeks stay several other people stayed who were also friendly so the resort seems to attract like minded people. The food was excellent and varied and the service was very good. Diving was supervised by Tess and we thoroughly enjoyed all the dives. Rooms are clean and all situated on the beach. Recommended and hope to get back there during the next few months.

Each and every visit has been an wonderful experience. We have visited with friends and family and they too will return again and again. The snorkeling is amazing! You can snorkel directly from in front of your bungalow at high tide. Can highly recommend Situ as a very relaxing holiday destination.

We recently spent a week at Situ in the wonderful care of Tess, Craig and Staff. We went blind as such and did not really know what to expect. The Lodge is right on the beach as are the Chalets/rooms.Each is kitted out with shower and separate loo en suite, a king size bed,fan and net although we did not experience any mosquitoes.
If there were any short comings we or any others in the group on the island did not experience any.The service, the rooms, the staff, the boat, the hospitality, the food and the knowledge of Tess and Craig was faultless.
Although I went to fish, we soon settled into the diving routine of the majority of our fellow guests. Let me say that the diving was world class. There is all that you need on had if fishing is your thing, but do not miss out on the diving.
We made extensive use of the honesty bar and found the prices very reasonable. Wi Fi and local sim cards are available if required at a nominal fee.
As a birding destination you could not fail to add to your lists, virtually every bird was new to us.
We shall return!
