It was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The check-in process was seamless, even though my booking was not made directly with the hotel. The staff took the time to give us a thorough tour of the property while clearly outlining restaurant hours and amenities.
The cabin was beautifully laid out, with comfortable furniture that made it feel like a home away from home. Each morning, I appreciated the thoughtful gesture of having the coffee station topped up, which set a lovely tone for the day. The amenities available were fantastic. One of the highlights of my stay was waking up to the friendly giraffe, Kira, who added a unique charm to the experience.
Throughout my visit, I encountered no disturbances from other guests or staff, which contributed to an atmosphere of serenity and relaxation. The entire team was friendly and helpful, their commitment to cleanliness and maintenance was evident, making me feel comfortable and cared for during my stay.

The food
The menu on the website wasn't available due to Chef Ken not working there anymore. The food was okay we had dinner there on the first night and it wasn't amazing so we ate out for dinner and lunch. The breakfast was great and made to order.
The picnic
The meun online wasn't what I received there. We got one wing each,3 cocktail Sausages, a chicken mayo sandwich no flavor, little bit of cheese and biltong. It was disappointing.
The cleaning lady
They take your key at breakfast to clean your room but what happens is the cleaning lady makes your bed the wipes your shower. My floor weren't cleaned and the trash wasn't taken out daily.
The Safari drive
It was so nice the driver was a 10/10, she went out of her way to make it rememberable.
The room
It was amazing I loved it, it had a happy birthday message in flowers on the bed. It look just like the pictures. Because you in the bush be prepared for flies and mosquitos all day every day.

What a fun family weekend away with our boys at Sibani lodge’s tented camp, just 1 hour outside of Johannesburg, located in the Cradle of Humankind, making it an absolutely perfect choice for a weekend breakaway, whether it be with the family or just the two of you. Let me start off by saying the booking process was so seamless and they provide you with all the info you could need before you arrive, even the menu for the duration of your stay.
The spacious glamping tents are super comfortable and even though the weather was quite chilly and rainy while we were there, we were cozy and warm at all times with plenty of blankets being provided if needed.
Each tent is spotlessly clean and adequately set up with everything you could need, with plenty of room between each tent to ensure you have more than enough privacy too. A turn down service makes it even better! Nothing like still being spoilt to a neat and tidy room and treat on your pillow, these little touches go a long way.
The newly installed wood fired hot tubs are a winner! We just loved relaxing in these whilst enjoying a drink and chatting about the plans for the day, which happened to be a game drive through the reserve to explore the large array of wildlife including giraffe, buffalo, red hartebeest, kudu, impala, zebra and an impressive variety of bird life, flora, and even exploring the caves.
Due to all the rain we missed out on our afternoon picnic but the team made up for it by arranging a special picnic dinner for us in a private area with the fire place set up which was truly special and so much effort was made by them.
There are so many activities to choose from nearby which offer a huge selection of really fun things to do, we elected to stop by Saddle Creek adventures on our way home, and wow this was an excellent decision. We tried our hand at archery, horse riding, go carting and quad biking and had the best time experiencing some new activities with the boys, to add to our already wonderful weekend away.
All in all we had a wonderful stay at Sibani lodge with plenty of time to relax and rejuvenate. Jackals call at night and allow you to feel like you’re in the middle of all the action, whilst antelope and ostrich roam closely along the fence line, giving you the perfect opportunity to take it all in. If you listen carefully you can hear the lions calling from a nearby lion park too, making it extra special. If you’re not so keen on the glamping idea there is a main lodge area too, but I say try something new! You will love this camping experience with just a touch of luxury.

The same white lady at reception needs tp be changed asap. I see a lot of reviews complaining about her demeanor. It's not welcoming.

Just for the location and the views I'll give the place 2/10 because everything else is the pits !
Food is 0/10 because the other white lady decided to cook instead of get their chef to report to work daily. Saving costs at the customers' experience cost. She served us chicken livers so badly we couldn't believe. Chicken livers, imagine.

Worst was the fish, they served us fish that had gone spoilt. I mean how you prepare and serve fish that is off, the smell will always tell that the fish is no longer okay.

And it's evident the units are not regularly maintained.

A good location and that is where it ends. The restaurant was out of stock of at least half the menu; severely limiting options. Orders placed at the restaurant for room service were ignored.
More importantly, a call for help in an emergency was only attended to two hours later. A follow up email requesting explanations in this regard is still being ignored. In terms of security, safety, service and food I would not recommend.

Went to Sibani with my partner, worst experience ever. The room was not clean, bathroom was smelly. As if it couldn’t get any worse, we ordered steak, Fish, and chicken livers for dinner… Fish had already gone bad, livers were not nicely cooked, the list goes on. In short, it’s not value for money and their service is terrible

Wow Sibani Lodge please do something about your receptionist Tsholofelo, that lady she's rude and added to our bad experience we encountered. Firstly our booking was canceled twice because of the game drive car not being available, to changing our booking and adding spa treatments, to being over charged while the prices we received for spa treatments were given to us on Friday and our visit was Sunday and to get there to be told that the prices have gone up. Inside our picnic basket we were given 1 chocolate cupcake to share for 2 with whipped cream as our dessert. The whole experience was disappointing and to think it was not my first time coming to sibani but this time around I'm not sure if i will ever visit your establishment ever again. Tsholofelo your receptionist she's rude please remove her from being the face of sibani!

We were greeted by very friendly staff upon our arrival. Everyone at Sibani ensures you are happy and taken care of. The interior of the lodge is classy, yet welcoming. Me and my partner stayed in the Luxury Glamping Tent, and it felt like we were in a hotel. The kol-kol (jacuzzi) was a highlight for us. Breakfast included was delicious! We did, however, take our pre-packed dinner for the night because the tents are not self-catering (no braai/kitchen), however, they make tasty and affordable dinners in the restaurant on the camping premises. We will be back!

The staff is so welcoming, they smile, helpful,
But the receptionist lady was so impatient with us the day we checked in, we were late because of unforeseen circumstances and we had to pay for being late. the room i was booked at doesnt have privacy at all, when you open the sliding door, the stuff from the kitchen can easily see you.
The food was great. the chef is the best, the hospitality is awesome

We went to Sibani lodge in September 2024 during the weekend of the cold front. Venue (room) and spa were beautiful.

Sibani lodge isn't value for money, rather go else where. They had no blankets to provide us during the cold front and gave all sorts of excuses. The fire place doesn't heat up the room, no heater in site so we froze all weekend. They don't provide fresh towels and water when they clean the rooms. Shower water goes from hot to cold while you're taking a shower. Food at the main restaurant takes a while to arrive and arrives cold. It was truly an unpleasant experience. Go elsewhere!!
