The host was very warm and friendly, i was particularly impressed with the safety features of the place, the trellidor in the patio as well as the lockable garages for each car was impressive, the room was also pleasantly comfortable, even though we only stayed for one night we really had a comfortable stay.

From the owner annatjie to the staff... everyone and everything was perfect and welcoming. Loved the view, the room, the facilities. Everything about this guesthouse is perfect. I've stayed here a number of times as ive travelled through carolina on business and would even pay extra for a room when they are fully booked just to enjoy the experience.

This is a cenvenient stopover on the way from Kruger National Park to the Natal coast. Carolina lies on nearly 1700m and we had a freezing night with frosty lawns outside! Thanks god the owners provided heating blankets in the bed so we cuddled up. And they started the generator since the town had experienced a "loadshed" from late fternoon. Town is not much to write home about. Best bet to eat is the Italian/Portuguese franchise chicken grill on the main road. Waterfront host Annikieje was very helpful and friendly and provided a lovely breakfast next morning with fresh eggs any style, cereals and fruit juice, yoghurt and toast. The place is called "Waterfront" because it faces a lovely little dam. The rooms a equipped with everything one needs including coffee/tea making facilities, fridge, TV and there is secure parking. The interiors is much 60ies/70ies rural style but Annikieje makes up for much of that with her warmhearted hospitality.…
