NOTHING about this stay is as advertised. There is no soundproofing whatsoever. There are big gaps around the room's door, letting in so much light from the hallway, it's difficult to sleep. There's no carpet or sound absorbent material anywhere, so you can hear noise from other guests and PLENTY of noise from the hotel's kitchen and breakfast space (banging, pots and pans, dishes, people speaking, etc.). We stayed in Room 202, which they call "The Get Away Suite", even though it's situated right in between the hotel's restaurant/bar area and their continental breakfast space. We heard every footstep and barely slept the entire weekend. I should also mention that my room came with two pairs of earplugs - so you know the proprietors are aware that this is a noisy room. When I complained, I was offered a noise machine, which we used, but were still able to hear so much noise that we didn't sleep well at all either night we stayed. There was not one hanger in the closest, the WiFi kicked us off multiple times, TV froze several times throughout our stay, parking was limited, no hotel carts for bringing luggage in, & the owner Kevin couldn't be bothered to return my calls or emails in a timely manner. When he did, he just took things personally, rather than ensuring his guests had a satisfactory stay. Apparently he was otherwise engaged at church all day Sunday, so he wasn't able to get back to my Saturday evening email until after 2:00pm on Monday, after we had already checked out. His tone was condescending & rude. I was offered 10% off of my next stay as a "courtesy". Customer service was as bad a joke as the non-existent room service. My advice: This is not by any means a $200/night hotel stay. This is more like a half attempt at a Bed & Breakfast, without the actual breakfast or niceties of a traditional B&B. It goes without saying that there is no resort aspect of this place - everything is under construction, so no extra amenities whatsoever. Absolutely would NOT recommend.

I was worried about this location and place and my fears were justified. I will say there is a lot of misleading information regarding the stay at Skylaranna. First off, you have to be really careful what room you get. If you book on Booking.Com, you could very well get shafted and have a room facing a parking lot on the first floor. Second, this is not anything near a resort. It may be one, one day but in its current state, its not even a bed and breakfast. The breakfast is continental which is not mentioned anywhere, and its a selection from Costco. There is nothing special. There is also only one table so terrible for Covid-19 times. The bed was actually decent which is the only good thing I can say about our stay. Third, We stayed in a room that didnt make any sense. The bathroom was a mismatched hodge podge of varying old finishes thats akin to a youth hostel. It was not a nice bathroom. The Room was OK but terribly mismatched to the bathroom. Its not a resort! Be careful and stay somewhere closer to Asheville so you dont get shafted. Just not overall a good experience!

The restaurant has become awful. We dined there over the winter and thought this would become our go to place for nice dinners and special events. Probably worth noting that my wife and I have dined all over the world, everything from Bojangles to Europa in Montreal and everything in between. No strangers to find dining and great grub. Skylaranna was a huge disappointment this time, so bad we will not likely go back. Here’s the overview: Vodka martini mostly water, tasteless and small Brie fondue disgusting, watery and lumpy with weird things like giant spears of celery to dip. So thin and watery wouldn’t stick to anything Our menus sat on the table until entrees, arrived, bread plates not cleared as well. Rice undercooked, salmon which was supposed to be crusted with pumpkin seeds was so salty one would assume it was salt crusted. Restaurant was less than half full on a Friday night, no specials, every other restaurant in Hendersonville is packed on Friday nights so seems like many other locals have decided to stay away as well. Not impressed, value for cost was very much lacking, new chef isn’t cutting it, it will be a cold day in hell before we set foot in Skylaranna again.

I am from Florida and went to NC for my Dad's funeral. We made arrangements to stay at Cascades mainly for their indoor pool. We have 3 children and thought it would be nice for them. Our flight landed so late and we checked out faster than we checked in. Sitting in the parking lot trying to find a hotel at 1:30am was not easy. We took a chance on Skylaranna. The drive was a little scary because there were no lights but as soon as soon as you drove up it looked like a beautiful castle! Kevin accommodated us and check-in was contactless and easy. The room was beautiful and very clean! We woke up late and missed breakfast but Erin allowed us in the breakfast room for private dining. Makayla was a doll also. Both girls were very attentive and super sweet. The room came with everything you would need for a comfortable stay including a fridge, mini kitchen and cookware. The grounds were immaculate. I couldn't have stayed at a better place and when I head back to NC, I will certainly book my stay here!

The facilities are good . The bed was very comfortable. There is NO ac in the room , only a boiler system. With windows open at night and all day the room was very hot I was very dissatisfied and could not sleep for two nights . The staff pretended to hit a few buttons on a thermostat in the hall and it obviously was not effective in controlling the temperature . Quite loud outside your room , and above it . Location is decent for blue ridge parkway and biltmore estate. The restaurant on the resort is expensive and the food is average . Waitress is friendly and wine was great . There is currently construction on site .
