My pet was welcome here, yes there is a pet fee but reasonable compared to leaving your furkid behind at home in a kennel. The lady at check in gave me a small courtesy gift which I later found to be a dog treat and a doggy pickup bag in a cute little food bowl. There's plenty of grassy areas to walk your K9 friend and ample clean up stations & trash cans to help make it easy to pick up after your dog - so be considerate of others please. This may be due to covid or having a dog friendly room, but the beds have only sheets and some type of light cotton blanket-no bedspread or comforter. This was no issue for me since I took some light bedding from home. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are wonderful and that's coming from someone with severe back and neck issues. Water pressure was low but sufficient. Loved that I could park the car right at the room and not have to walk around the block or up flights of stairs to load/unload. A/C worked great, kept the room at a very comfortable cool temp all night. Room included fridge, microwave, large flat screen tv, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, small courtesy shampoo and soaps. The Great Smokies Inn is at Saunooke Village complete with eateries, shops and lovely mountain views. The Oconaluftee River is just around the corner - you can hear it at night when you take the K9 out for a 'break'. If you're up for a riverside hike, you can walk to the Pioneer Village and Welcome Center at the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains. You're less than 2 miles from the Great Smoky Mountains Nat'l park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Then there's all the great stuff in Cherokee. All that for a reasonable price, great hospitality and a super location. Will definitely check back in next time we're in the area.

Nestled in the mountains surrounded by shops to explore this was a nice clean hotel for our one night stop. They do not offer breakfast but they do have coffee in the lobby. They practiced COVID safety requiring masks in the lobby. Grounds were clean and well maintained.

We stayed here for one night In the middle of the night (2 a m) I went to use the bathroom and the door had closed and locked so that access was impossible As a diabetic, I go to the bathroom frequently. As such we went to the front desk and reported the problem No solution was offered and we checked out We called Kristy, the manager in the morning to ask for recompense None was offered and she was extremely rude We would never stay here again Having no access to your bathroom is not an acceptable option and management doing nothing about it is UNBELIEVABLE!!

We took our grandchildren on a weekend trip before they started back to school. We chose this hotel because it was less expensive than so many others. We literally saved almost $300 just on the hotel room. I was amazed from the minute we entered the lobby to check in. It was lovely. It was rather late when we arrived, but they young lady and gentleman behold the desk were as friendly and helpful as they could be. They gave our boys drawstring backpacks and water bottles with crayons and color pages inside. The room was so large! Plenty of room for the boys to stretch out. There was also a table for them to sit at, and a fridge and microwave. There aren't a ton of options to eat at around this little area, but there are a couple. Other restaurants are only a short drive away. There were fresh, clean towels at the pool. The pool was very clean, and larger than most hotel pools we've stayed at. You can enjoy the beautiful mountain views while sitting at the pool area. Pretty lights at night in their little courtyard add a relaxing vibe. The beds were great and the water pressure in the shower was the BOMB! There were plenty of places to charge your devices. The curtains kept the light out and the air was nice and cold all night. I really can't think of anything negative to say. We were speechless to think that we got all this for such a big savings. I want to add too, we travel a bit. It is hard to find/see good help. This hotel has a nice, big staff. We noticed them sitting together one morning out back at some picnic tables talking and having coffee. They truly seem to care about their job and enjoy what they do. That just made my day! We even got a phone call later the morning we left that we had forgotten something in our room. We were able to return and grab it! They did not have to do that and we truly appreciated it. We will absolutely stay here again and again.
