We stayed in the Eagle's Nest at Land's Creek Cabins. The cabin was super clean and well stocked. There are lots of fun things to do in the area. We rafted the Nantahala, rented a pontoon on Lake Fontana, rode the Great Smokey Mountain and visited Cherokee. Visited Darnell's and had an amazing Pineapple Whip. Enjoyed the view from the beautiful deck.
This was a wonderful place to stay! Everything is done with an attention to detail and all Joe’s work on the Hummingbird Cabin is clearly a labor of love. Just a few yards farther up the hill offers a couple of outstanding views of the Great Smoky Mountains.
The area around Bryson City is beautiful, and the location of Lands Creek is great, lovely grounds and creek. Beyond that, several in our party were not pleased with the accommodations. It’s almost impossible to do any remote work, as internet is sketchy at best. The cabins had clean bathrooms with plenty of towels, beyond that, there were cobwebs, bugs, dirty windows, and an odd smell. The water pressure is terrible in the showers. Our ice maker didn’t work, and we never were given any firewood. Maybe we were supposed to get it ourselves? We paid a fee to bring two dogs with us, only the owner forgot, and on the second day, we got chewed out because we had one dog with us. He made us feel very uncomfortable and stated we had better “do right by him”. We feel like we were very disrespected, especially since these reservations were made 1.5 years ago and were very upfront about the fact that we were bringing our dogs with us. He refused to reimburse us the 100.00 for the one dog who had passed away. He stated that he wanted to inspect the cabin before we left. While it is understandable that he would be concerned about his property, hollering at us and our daughter was completely unprofessional and his behavior pretty much ruined the joy we felt and put a damper on our children’s wedding. This was the first vacation we’d had in several years, and the first time since COVID that we were able to go out of town, so it was a real letdown. .…
Robin and Sue set the standard so high at Lands Creek Cabins. This is a perfect getaway. You would never think you were within 50 mi of civilization when you were only 3 mi North of Boston City, 5 mi from Deep Creek and entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and only 3 mi from the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. We never want to leave at the end of our stay. We plan to go back in July of 2021 and maybe again in October of 2021. This is our home away from home!! Bruce and Donna Gasperson
We have been staying with Robin at Lands Creek Log Cabins for many years and once again they didn’t disappoint! Everyone is always so friendly and accommodating and the accommodations are outstanding. Peaceful, amazing views and first class cabins. We go for the great motorcycle riding in the area and nobody has ever provided as nice of accommodations and been as welcoming as Robin, his family and staff. It’s why we come back again and again! Thank you Robin and see you in a few months!
