The hotel has a 1970s ambience to British eyes, with brown wooden fittings and beige walls. Everything was smart and clean. The staff were friend,y and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with ample offerings of fruit, cereals, yoghurt, pastries, bread, juices, cheese and ham. Coffee was served by a very friendly waitress.

We had a junior suite to gives us more room as we were staying 7 nights. Room was very comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and cold bottled water available. Bathroom was excellent, though there was a large step down getting out of the shower.

Air conditioning worked very well in the middle of a heatwave.

I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for three nights during a weeks holiday in Tuscany.Chose the hotel on the basis of what we had read on Trip Advisor, and we were not disapointed. The hotel was excellent-rooms were comfy and clean and breakfasts were very good.Staff were very welcoming and very informative.Montevarchi is very much a working town but was in a wonderful position for our visits to Florence and Assisi by train(much better than using a car).Good Italian Restaurant across the road as well as an Ice Cream Parlour and not expensive. An excellent place to stay!!!

Plugs all broken. Telly broken. Can’t use kettle and can’t charge my phone.
Maid took my second towel and never replaced it. Woman in the canteen is very unfriendly and border line aggressive.
Last time I came, the floor was dirty and contact lenses from last person there on floor.
The man on the front desk could not speak English.

As a touring musician, I've had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Valdarno several times over the years and my experiences there have always been wonderful. Two years ago, my wife and daughter also stayed there with me for several days and they loved the hotel as well. Everything…the rooms, the staff, the breakfast, even the walking distance to the train station, make this hotel a joy to stay at. I look forward to my next visit! - Paul Wertico

We really enjoyed our week at this hotel. The staff were terrific --- they made us feel as if they were there for only us. We have stayed in many hotels in different countries but we have never experienced such "personal" attention by the staff, all the way from the cleanup crew to the owner of the hotel. I have no reservations in recommending this hotel to anyone --- well equipped, clean and comfortable rooms, and a good breakfast table with a nice setting. If you would like to feel that you really do matter, then this could be the hotel for you.

Nice hotel, location is ok, easy walk, into montevarchi, Tuscany, where plenty of restaurants can be found in the centre, good traditional Italian quisine. Rooms are large and comfortable. Two sections to the hotel, main hotel and annex at the back, suggest main hotel rooms are better and have better Internet, which is free.

just came back from italy. we stayed here because it was close to the Prada Outlet Space. This to me was more like a 3 star hotel. You must ask for a non smoking room. I forgot and we got a very smelly room but only realized late at night and couldn't change at that point.
Otherwise it is well located if you are going to the Prada outlet. We had a car and the hotel staff showed us how to get to it on the map.
It is good for a night,

It was a late night at 10:30pm , June 21 2024.I have trouble ordered foods through my cellphone. And , I went to front desk to ask for help. The front desk girl, a pretty young tall skinny lady with pony tail decided to helped me to ordered food by using her App on her cellphone , even though she will leave works in few minute. I truly appreciated her kindness and professionality. This experience will create even more great memories to me & my family as first-time visitors to Italy . Also, in the future , this might be one of the reason to visit Italy again and stay at the same hotel when i visit the same area again. Thank you again!!

Staff and service are overall superb, with friendly and timely attention that seems like they cannot do enough for their guests.
Wifi is mostly stable and enough to complete work and watch shows.
Breakfast is a diverse array of continental style offerings - fruit, yoghurt and eggs for the gluten-free options.
Morning coffee is made and presented with great enthusiasm - as it should be for such a delicious experience!
Sound-proofing in rooms is excellent and the beds are more comfortable than most hotels.
The lift also worked very efficiently, even during busy periods.
There is a small fitness area in the underground level which could, perhaps, benefit from the addition of a rowing machine.
A complete set of billiard balls would be appreciated (perhaps kept at reception with a small bond to ensure their return?).
The turn-down and laundry service was quick and done to a high standard - the availability of a “Do Not Disturb” light, rather than a door sign (which inevitably falls off) was appreciated.
We understand that Italy has come under restrictive rules about climate control due to a reliability on Natural Gas energy shortages. Unfortunately, we could not use the air con to cool our room down enough and were advised to open a window. Whilst the cool, Tuscan breeze did the job most of the time, we were unfortunately subjected to a squadron of mosquitoes plus a rude awakening by roosters and early morning deliveries at the nearby supermarket. Solutions could be to provide pedestal fans in rooms, for a little extra respite, and have bug mesh on the windows to keep the mosquitoes out. This really is the only reason we can’t give five stars and we hope that other solutions will become the norm in the future.
The local area is brimming with delicious eateries and is very walkable.
Taxis are easy to come by and trains to bigger cities are reliable.
The Artisan markets on the last Sunday of each month are well worth it!
