My daughter and I stayed for three nights this week in the motel and it was a huge disappointment. First, we were not given the advertised discount of stay 2 nights, get one for reduced rate due to Columbus Day. (Lame reason.) We paid $150 a night and the rooms were so old, worn out and dirty. We could barely close the bathroom door, it was so tiny. There was no fan in the bathroom and a very dim light. There was no coffee maker of any sort and the coffee offered in the morning at the extremely limited breakfast was so weak you could see through it. There were barely any outlets to plug things in, but they offered a power strip dangling from an old outlet. The flooring was buckling and the carpet was old and filthy. They had one bar of soap, one towelette and one little bottle of shampoo. We had to use the soap at the sink and in the shower for three days for two people. Outside of our room there were spiders everywhere in the walkway. The beds were comfortable and the location is good. That is pretty much all I can say that was good about it.…
This property is OK as B&Bs go. I was not expecting the moon. However, when I got there, I discovered the traditional breakfast was no longer available due to COVID-19 restrictions, I get that. However, there was very little to replace it. From a consumer's perspective, if you are going to or forced to reduce services, there should be a reduction in price.
This motel is the cleanest motel I have ever seen. Room was spacious. There was plenty of parking. 1 minute walk to downtown and close to everything. Ms. Regina was an absolute gem and helped us find resources for things to do! I only have one complaint and I hate to post but I feel it could potentially be a safety issue. The door that guests unlock with their key at night is very slow and hard to shut. Traveling with two women, young lady and baby this concerned me a little.
We were looking for a place to stay for 1 night . They had 3 rooms left The rooms do need some updating the beds were soft and clean across the st from a nice restaurant . The a/c worked , nice to be able to drop the key in a box and leave early before any was was in the office .
This hotel is "Average" I signed a contract with this motel back in Feb 2019 because of no rooms available within a 50 mile radius for the impending 50th Woodstock Week. Cost for room went from $160 to $275 a night. The Booking Terms stated, "that Non-Refundable Room Deposits for Nascar, Vintage, 6 Hour Race & 50th Woodstock Week are not refundable for any reason once the reservation was completed & confirmed". In April, news was let that the 50th Woodstock event was cancelled. So, there was no 50th Woodstock Week. Immediately (and several attempts following), I contacted the Motel to see if I could cancel my reservations or at least get the Summer Rate. Their response was always the same, "Sorry, this is an event weekend & besides, there are several things to do/see in the area" - My opinion, one can see/do everything they would need to in 2 days. BOTTOM LINE: The motel is over-priced for the accommodations. A comparable motel would equal 2-Stars with a price of $50 to $80 a night. During event weeks price gouging definitely occurs. Even at Summer Rates, prices double/triple-this I understand. RECOMMENDATION: Do your homework when traveling to Watkins Glen, there are several hotels/motels in the area that'll save you hundreds. More importantly, DO NOT ENTER INTO AN ADVANCED CONTRACT WITH THIS MOTEL. If an event is cancelled, the Motel management's consideration/integrity doesn't come in to play - You paid! You signed contract! You're screwed and they will not work with you. …
