This is an amazing, rustic safari lodge. The meals served are outstanding, with fresh ingredients, great choices, and incredible presentation. The staff is courteous and attentive. The individual cabins are really cool. Well appointed, with wood fired water heaters to service eve…
This lodge had a great atmosphere, such a friendly host. The food was excellent and the service was very good. The room is overlooking the lake and the lodge was comfortable. Well worth the visit. Give it a try.
Was fortunate to have stayed a night at this awesome place during a recent visit to Queen Elizabeth NP.
It is located pretty far inside the forest, making it pretty secluded. It is located at the edge of a crater lake, which is where they derive all the water for the rooms.
Jacana Safari Lodge is a very convenient place to stay if you want to visit the Queen Elizabeth Park.
Do not forget to enjoy the boat tour on the nearby Kazinga Channel where you can watch lots of wildlife.

"all the rooms have a fine view over the lake and good privacy."
"Monkeys love to visit you ( if you leave something unattended the May borrow it )"
"All rooms are similar but those deeper in the forest are more exciting"
"Try to get a room north of the main building for a better view of the lake. Ours, to the south, had a minimal view."
"All rooms involve sloping stone paths which can be a bit tricky after dark. Be aware if you have people with you with limited mobility."
