This lodge had a great atmosphere, such a friendly host. The food was excellent and the service was very good. The room is overlooking the lake and the lodge was comfortable. Well worth the visit. Give it a try.

Was fortunate to have stayed a night at this awesome place during a recent visit to Queen Elizabeth NP.

It is located pretty far inside the forest, making it pretty secluded. It is located at the edge of a crater lake, which is where they derive all the water for the rooms.

From Kampala you will drive through Masaka, Mbarara, Bushenyi, Ishaka, Rubirizi and Kichwamba, This road is going towards Kyambura and Kasese, There are signs on the road for Jacana, it is a left turning after Kichwamba. If you search "Jacana Safari Lodge, Rubirizi, Western Region" on Google Maps it will show its location too. I hope this helps!

How do we book a room here please?
"all the rooms have a fine view over the lake and good privacy."
"Monkeys love to visit you ( if you leave something unattended the May borrow it )"
"All rooms are similar but those deeper in the forest are more exciting"
"Try to get a room north of the main building for a better view of the lake. Ours, to the south, had a minimal view."
"All rooms involve sloping stone paths which can be a bit tricky after dark. Be aware if you have people with you with limited mobility."
