We arrived without a booking & the staff went out of their way to accommodate us - there were no other guests that night but everyone did their utmost to make our stay memorable - a very delicious lunch was made for us with no prior warning while our chalet was being prepared. The chalet was very clean & comfortable. Dinner was very good and the staff very attentive & keen to give us information on the area as well as Ruhah National Park which was very welcome. The view from the lounge & deck area are breathtaking. This is a great place to stay if you want to visit Ruaha National Park but do not want to stay in the park.
The people were so nice and we real enjoy staying there we even have the bush dinner which was supper and amaizing all the staff was very friendly and cally I will be there soon We did the gem drive with them they have a plofessional guid and driver we real enjoy staying there.
Unfortunately the manager has tried to cheat us badly, asking our guide to pay accommodation like a tourist (140usd per 2 nights) which is totally disgusting especially because tour guides and driver have standard fees provided by Tour operator organization (Tato). Never the less, they tried to charge him for laundry (3 t shirts and 1 sweater) 25.000 tz shilling, which is something to regret at all. Also, the manager was very unpolite, not friendly and false, always trying to find the way to disgust the place, which is also very nice and comfortable, food was good and amazing panorama over looking Ruaha NP. But the experience was very very bad, never to be repeated. That's a real shame.
We really liked the place. The staff was super friendly and the dinners were amazing. Wifi only works in the restaurant and was sometimes not working. The views are great and it was really peaceful at the time we were staying.
We have stayed 3 nights in the Hilltop lodge of which we have 2 full days of gamedrives, The cottage was simple, but well equipped. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly. The view from the terrace is overwhelming, untouched nature as far as the eye can see.
