This was a little more 'basic' than other camps we visited, due to its remote and isolated location. I feel the tents needed a little bit of finessing, but they were fine. The people are fantastic, the food is good. And it's a safari camp, after all! Wildlife viewing was really good.
Hi! Me and my husband claes spend three days with driver guide Rajabu Hussein and his colleagues at the camp named Kigelia Ruaha Nomad Camp ... We would like everyone to know about their wery good knowledge and hospitality ....! We will never forget ! And so will not the lalalas, Sheeba , Hippos behind the car ... giraffs running in slowmotion Image And of course not the elephants .... specially out nightfriend ..... Tove became a impala .... 💪🤣🤣💫 ALL THE BEST ! Claes & Tove !
Pleasantly surprised by the tent accommodation where everything is thought of including a thermos of hot water in the evening for washing up. From our vantage point at our tent or at the common areas there were lots of opportunities to see birds drinking from all the bird baths along with elephants that would occasionally walk through camp. Eating out in the open and by the river bed were all memorable experiences. Very thoughtful and caring staff.
We had the pleasure of staying at Kigelia Ruaha for 4 nights. We all go on safari to experience the excitement of wildlife, but at Kigelia you get so much more. The people were beyond warm and friendly…by the time you leave you felt as though you were invited into their private home. The tents were immaculately clean, the food delicious, the property small and intimate. And then there is the wildlife…..our guide Good Luck showed us how he tracked paw prints in the sand, listened to the sounds made by the animals, watched the flight patterns of the birds etc. Each and every drive was exhilarating and there was always a surprise of wildlife to be found…….three male lions walking side by side in unison, 11 lionesses sleeping in the brush with their cubs, female elephants guiding their young and the list goes on. Special thanks to the manager Ken who was kind, knowledgeable and an all around wonderful host.…
