An unforgettable experience and a holiday of a lifetime for my mother-in-law, husband and I.

Ikuka Safari Camp is exceptional. The open rooms allow you to experience nature and also afford you 5* accommodation. The staff operate as a close knit family and are hugely welcoming. The camp is run exceptionally well and everything is delivered at the highest level of professional and totally flawless.

Having our own dedicated safari guide during the day allowed us to tailor our safari to suit ourselves. The wildlife is spectacular, and Luka’s (our guide) knowledge and insights certainly taught us a lot about Tanzania culture, the animals, birds, insects, plants etc etc

Unforgettable and unbeatable experience.

Thank you Ikuka team. We will be back soon!

We are going to run out of superlatives…. This was the best safari camp we have stayed in (and we have stayed in few). The attention to detail was second to none from the beautifully laid tables to our lovely banda. We wanted for absolutely nothing apart from a break in consuming the delicious and abundant food! The quality, variety and finesse was extraordinary. We had not been to the Ruaha area before and to have found a spectacular spot literally be on top of the world was so fortunate. The star at the top of the tree however, was the Ikuka team. Each and every one, with Tommy at the helm, could not have been kinder, more helpful, full of good humour and fun. They all contributed to an atmosphere of a closely knit family, looking out for each other and ensuring we all felt welcome and at home. It is a shame not to be able to name every one, but we were fortunate to have Idris as our guide, who not only was articulate, knowledgeable and informative and gave us some thrilling “challenges” (it was the rainy season), but with whom we shared much laughter and fun. We saw the animals in beautiful health, which was such a treat. Keep doing what you are doing Ikuka and asante sana sana sana for a truly memorable time.

Our stay at Ikuka was absolutely magical. We stayed 2 nights but wished we could stay longer. The staff were incredibly generous and the quality of the guiding was amazing. We did both game drives and a walking safari. Our walking guide, Mark, was incredibly professional and knowledgeable and we managed to see elephant while on foot as well as other plains game. The view from the lodge is amazing and on a clear day you can see for miles. This is definitely a place to add to your bucket list and we will be back again soon!

Ikuka camp is really special. The location overlooking what must be one of the best views, an almost endless valley. The open, thatched luxury lodges, the lovely main lodge area and pool. The team made us feel welcome like family, it was lovely. The guides are the best, real experts and tracked down an astounding variety of game, putting us right on spot and often in splendid isolation. Great food and drink included, and a wonderful hospitable atmosphere at all times. We felt like royalty! we have photos we will treasure but mostly we will never forget our time with the Ikuka team.

I’m sad to say that I’ve unfortunately waited a year to write this, but my wife and I had the absolute best time ever on our Nov 2019 honeymoon in Ruaha at Ikuka. The engagement, service, and personality of the entire staff made our stay exceptional, and having the privilege of Joffrey as our guide was icing on the cake. The camp is a marvel, with meticulous detail embedded in everywhere. I’m still amazed at what I was able to learn and capture while out on drives. This was easily the highlight of our year, and boy could we use another week at Ikuka right now!!!! Courtney & Misha

We had a wonderful time at Ikuka. From the nature to the amenities everything was spectacular!

Highly recommend our guide Festo and his incredible wealth of knowledge. Also recommend enjoying dinner one night under the stars on the veranda outside of your room.

If you are looking for a once in a lifetime vacation at a place that has thought of everything you could possibly need then I Ikuka is what you are looking for. Many thanks to Festo, Giles, and the rest of the wonderful Ikuka family. Babu kubwa!!

Ikuka is not to be missed. Everything about the camp is done to perfection. From the moment you arrive on top of the ridge it is magical. The facility is absolutely beautiful, the staff is warm and gracious and the food is on a different level. The room and appointments are world class yet fit so perfectly into the environment. We have travelled to the Serengeti, the Selous and the Tarangire in Tanzania -- nothing compares with our time at Ikuka in the Ruaha. We stayed for 4 nights in June and did walking safaris in the mornings and game drives in the afternoons. Each day brought new adventures and we can't thank Festo and Mustapha enough for their expertise and wisdom.

This isn't easy to write a review worthy of IKUKA.

IKUKA is a special place that will change you.

The team is caring and kind, and memorable.

Tom is brilliant with his entire team. I want to stress every single member of the team is the best you could ever encounter.

The meals were outstanding, and the presentation was beyond words.

We cried when we left as we had become their family.

The Safari experience was world-class and exclusive, and non-commercial. I think it must feel like Africa was 40 yrs ago.

Mustafa was our guide and friend, and we are grateful for all the brilliant

wildlife experience. We saw everything
