For us frenchies, the aperitive is an important thing and Oremiti gave us the perfect one : view on the lake, local beer, sunset, flamingos and plantain chips 😋! The little villas are truly amazing and you feel like you are the only one there! It is a very quiet place and the staff was totally available, helpful and kind. We would definitely go back again!

We got this is lodge. Our luggage was put in a large cart and wheeled to our tent. Our tent had a queen bed and then two twin beds in a different part of the tent along with a bathroom and shower. Very comfortable. It had a nice pool and an area to have a cocktail or wine a d to plug in your cell phone or tablets. We had a group of 13. So we had a special tent to have dinner. It was raining in the evening so we were escorted to our room by umbrella. Everyone at the lodge was nice and the food was quite good.

A great lodge to stay in Tanzania, full of charm, good restaurant, beautiful rooms, magnificent garden, friendly team and manager, even a swimming pool. Well located to visit Lake Manyara Park, Tarangire and Ngorongoro. We loved this place, especially the sunsets over Lake Manyara, while having a drink before diner.

This place is beautiful! The cabins all have a view of Lake Manyara and the walkways make for a lovely stroll. The pool is beautiful and just the right temperature, the food is good and the staff quite nice, there if you need them but not overly present.

Oremiti Lodge was beautiful place to stay overall. The food was excellent, the lodging was really nice and the pool was a great touch! It didn't feel as personal as some of the other lodges where we stayed on our trip. The people were friendly, but not super helpful. I was on a trip with my mom, and we wanted to have a drink by the pool... they were out of a lot of their cocktails they had on the menu, and limited beer selection. It also took a long time for service. The wifi is also quite spotty here. In all other lodges we stayed, there was turn-down service (the shades drawn at night, lights put on in the rooms so you could easily find your way after dinner, and the beds were turned down-- they did not do this here, and I found it to be rather odd. My mom and I spent a good 15 minuets after dinner to prepare our room for sleeping. Other than that, it was a clean and picturesque lodge to stay. There was nothing bad, per se, just not the level of service we had gotten used to on our trip!

This was our first place to stay after a lengthy flight from UK via Istanbul. There were other people there but we had a private dining area under cover as before. Food was delicious and so nicely presented. Rooms really as big as a suite with a double bed and two singles. Solid built to waist height and then double skinned canvas walls which are bug proof. We told the owners to stop describing it as 'tented' as it really isn't. The roof is bug proof canvas with a separate thatch above to keep it cool and dry. Gardens delightful and your own Masai guide to walk you to and fro in the dark but bring a torch. Such a lovely place.

We weren't sure we were going the right way; there are no signs on the main road and we were driving along a bumpy road through Maasai land. But we finally were warmly greeted at the beautiful lodge.Oremiti is a hidden gem. The grounds are trimmed and pretty: the view of the lake from the bungalows is lovely, the rooms are clean and spacious and have real walls. The food was plentiful and delicious and they accommodated our vegan's dietary restrictions quite nicely. There is a private cabana available for a romantic dinner. While taking a stroll along the property, a Maasai escorted us and gave an impromptu very educational tour and history lesson. We enjoyed our stay tremendously! One of our party said she could stay there for a month. Big shout out to Michele for his great service.

Like a 2nd honeymoon! HUGE comfortable room. great pool and bar area, romantic and yummy diner, wonderful view of Lake Manyara, and fabulous, personalized service. Lodge Overall: New, clean with interesting decorations and nicely paved paths to the rooms with pretty landscaping. The outside pool and bar area are AWESOME. The pool temp was cool, but refreshing for the hot day. The bar had plenty of comfortable chairs and tables and a nice wine list. The internet service (only accessible at the bar/pool area) was up and down, but workable. Staff include Maasai in local dress with flashlights to escort guest to/from the rooms in the dark (I assume to ensure wildlife don’t scare us away). Only downside: The dirt path/road getting to the property is a dirty-scrub-mini-safari that does not set a good initial impression. Rooms: HUGE, comfortable room with a great view of the lake. King sized bed, good mosquito netting, big bathroom with a double sink/running water, good shower with plenty of hot water, plenty of amenities (bottled water for drinking and brushing teeth, soap, shampoo, and conditioner). They even provided bug spray for walking to pool/diner. LOVED the outside porch (but did not have time to enjoy it). Solar-powered lighting. This SAYS it’s “tented” and if you look up, you will note the roof is indeed a tent, but it is not at ALL obvious. Walls and floor are solid, windows are clear. This is a stand-alone bungalow. The path to our room was not fully finished. The path itself ended and we followed a dirt path to the room entrance, but I suspect that is temporary and the path is just not yet completed. Food: -- Hanging out by the pool in the afternoon, we were served YUMMY chicken wings as a little snack. I RAVED about them to the waiter saying I could eat those wings morning, noon, and night! -- Dinner: we were escorted to a private little covered gazebo overlooking the lake with a candle-lit private table for two. So amazingly romantic! We were seated and served a green banana soup that was out of this world! The beef entrée was good, though not quite tender enough to rave about. I skipped dessert but my husband enjoyed it – something with berries. Though totally outside, we had no issue with bugs or crawly things we might have expected being surrounded by foliage and plants. The service was perfect, the setting was ideal, and the evening was magic. -- Breakfast: Again, a private table set for two this time next to the pool. Another fabulous view of the lake. Part of the breakfast was buffet: cereal, several different yummy breads, fruits, juices. Then eggs with bacon to order. The beef bacon that is a little scary, everything else was GREAT. BUT for MY breakfast, the server arrived with an additional covered plate of…. Those YUMMY CHICKEN WINGS from the afternoon before! He must have told the chef how I had raved about them and the staff arranged for more in the morning. I almost fell over laughing! It was the nicest, sweetest moment of our whole trip! I could not finish them, so they were boxed up for me later. UNBELIEVEABLE. Service/Staff: Did you read about the chicken wings? WOW! Also, I was having a problem booking a room for our return to Dar and the front desk woman was amazing. We had to play with a combination of internet sites, my credit cards, and erratic internet connectivity but we were FINALLY able to book at a great rate. She also called the hotel that morning to confirm airport pickup and room availability which was a good thing because that confirmation corrected a mistake that would have been much MORE difficult to resolve when our flight arrived after midnight… Love this place!
