Had the pleasure to spend 3 nights at this wonderful lodge earlier this month. What makes this place so great is the people. We were well looked after by Melanie and Brent, who made sure we had everything we needed, made us feel very much at home. Our lodge was clean and had

We absolutely adored this place and just cannot recommend it enough. This is like going to your favourite aunt's home and being welcomed with open arms! Everyone who works here (feels unfriendly to call them staff) is just so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Meals are communal

Dear Alan, yes is can be cold. However, typically our winter weather here has little or no rain during the months between April and October, and normally the days have clear blue skies with temps up to 25degC. The nights are usually chilly, with clear skies (and excellent stargazing) and temps dropping to 3-5degC. Making the fireside red wine all th more pleasant! Occasionally one of the bigger cold fronts that hit the cape reaches us and we can have a few days of cool overcast weather. kind regards - Simon
