A number of us did a bike trip and we all stayed a night at Bingelela. We had great food. Friendly staff. Everything was clean and well maintained, the pool area is awesome too. Very well priced Accommodation. So all in all, it was worth it.
Visited for a week day evening meal. Group of 20. Place was quiet but we were mesmerised by the beautiful setting and idyllic atmosphere as soon as we walked in. Service for drinks and food was quick. Food came within 25 mins. Best rump steak I’ve ever had! 20 clean plates and full stomachs by the end of the night. Definitely worth a visit!
This place is really great! The rooms are sweet and clean, airconditioned and fully equipped. The restaurant has delicious food and great service. The entire staff are friendly and pay attention to details. The pool and bar area is lovely and there a the cutest dogs walking around. Would definitely go back!
We had breakfast on our way to the Natal coast at Bingelela Lodge. The food was good, I had bacon and egg sandwhich which was served on toasted chiabatta, quite a big helping, so I took a take-out with the 2nd sandwhich. Not a big variety, but tasty food. The best was the little vetkoek treats as a starter which we gobbled up, freshly baked with home made butter. I thought prices were a bit high but overall very pleasant experience. If I could make one recommendation it is that they serve the same buffet breakfast to visitors as to guests, offer self-help coffee and tea which would cut down on the waiting time for drinks and food to arrive, especially for travellers in a hurry to get to the beach.
Bingelela Lodge definitely superseded my expectations. The rondawel (hut) style chalets with thatch roof, made for a pleasant stay. Quiet and peaceful. Loved the sound of birds early in the morning, even if my car was not too happy with all the droppings, though nothing water could not fix. Beautiful outdoor restaurant. To top it off, the friendly collies that walked me back to my room was extremely sweet.
