The complex is beautifully located and has spacious and very well equipped self catering apartments which offer stunning views to the Drakensberge from the respective terraces. The beds are extremely good. The restaurant offers good food.

We went to Little Switzerland resort with our elderly parents and our 2 boys … what an exceptional experience, we were all catered for beyond our expectations. We would like to thank everyone, especially Frans, Emmanuel and Ncamisile… they are truly Gems of the Institution. Thank you so much we are totally coming back soon…🌞🙏🏼🌞

Little Switzerland surpassed my expectations. I have never experienced such an spectacular resort for such an affordable price. The resort itself is immaculate, very clean with excellent service from reception (Lwandile and team were amazing) to the actual chalets. It boasts specular views and tons of activities to keep the whole family busy. I can't wait to visit again!

This was not the first time I've stayed at Little Switzerland but it is my first stay since the change of ownership to Dream Resorts. I was concerned that the change would impact the quaint nature of the resort but I am entirely pleased to say that it has not lost an inch of its character. In fact, I believe Little Switzerland is even better than my previous stay. We were given Chalet 122, one of the recently - and elegantly - renovated chalets. It was perfect for our stay with the indoor fireplace being a welcome addition. The kitchen is well-appointed and the upstairs bedroom large, with very comfortable beds. Chalet 122's location means the view isn't as spectacular as the other chalets facing towards the Drakensberg mountain range but we did not spend much time in the chalet so this was not a dealbreaker. The old-school green fittings in the bathroom in the chalet could be replaced with more modern ones but this is a small gripe as everything was functional. The shower head could use a clean or replacement, though! The resort itself is clean, charming and welcoming, as is the staff. Leonard, a waiter in the restaurant, and Bongani, a barman, get special mentions for their excellent hospitality and service. The real star of the show was the food in the restaurant, however. All of our experiences in the restaurant (dinner on Friday night (the a la carte menu is different every night) and breakfast and lunch during Saturday) were superb - we were thoroughly impressed and even thought about abandoning our plans to have a barbecue at our chalet on the Saturday night in favour of eating in the restaurant again! We decided to barbecue to be different. We visited the Vultures Retreat bar adjoining the reception area which is a marvellous pub and felt very homely - the availability of a local craft beer (the Tiddly Toad lager from Nottingham Road Brewing Company, a short distance away) was especially appealing. We will certainly be back to Little Switzerland!

Beautiful resort and views! Great for families! Hotel shower needs a high pressure clean (black grime on walls), resort does not cater for Hindus (only beef & pork at brekkie, disappointing) Please consider chicken or lamb sausages! Supper was awesome ❤️ Staff are friendly & accommodating! Thank you LSH 🌷

The hotel is very upmarket and has great finishes. The room and bed were great and the staff are very friendly. The meals are well priced and very well cooked. The wine and other drinks are reasonable and there are enough activities to do. We climbed the Cove to get a great view. Have good walking shoes, sun block and hat. Take water. We looked at the self-catering chalets some have been recently furnished ask for those, the 4-6 sleeper had the great lounge and kitchen appliances. If we go again we will stay in one of them, fantastic views and a private pool. Private braai area. You can still have meals in the hotel.

Opted to stop over en route to Johannesburg from Durban. Apart from the road construction fixing sink holes near the hotel, the road was good. Check in was smooth and we were made to feel welcome. The grounds are vast and offers a lot of fun activities. The room was clean and easily accommodated our family of three. The kids space was large and in my opinion very under utilised. It has so much potential. We visited with our three year old during an unsupervised time and he got bored in only a few minutes. However this did not detract from our stay as this wasn’t our focus. The buffet was amazing with so many options both dinner and breakfast. Staff were attentive, friendly and accommodated special requests. Would recommend and would stay again.

Had the most tranquil weekend at Little Switzerland. My family and I enjoyed every moment. The food was amazing. Rhine was a great host and we look forward to seeing all the great staff on our next visit. The chalets are honestly one of the best I have been to.

A family visit to Little Switzerland 4 adults a 7 month Grandson and 2 small dogs. We stayed in the pet freindly 2 bed unit with patio built in braai and a secure garden with gate for our loved pets. The accomodation self catering was spotlessly clean. The bed linen super clean even the pet beds provided were super clean. The unit a little dated but very liveable. I cannot describe the excess beauty and views without even leaving the resort. Stunning views over the Drakensburg ampitheatre an ever changing landscape. Great walks from base a host of activities for all the family. Zip lining, go carts, play room, bowling, to name just a few. Nice bar and a resteraunt. A basic shop at the entrance to the resort no alchohol for sale at the shop the closest main shopping centre is in harrismith with a market about 8klm towards bergville Yes we will revisit a great time was had by all
