Comfortable Guest House at the edge of Ladybrand - a quaint little Free State Town. Adequate rooms, clean, well managed. Plus - the heater is working well - which comes in handy in those cold winter nights!
Sumptuous "cooked breakfast" - albeit with a lack of fresh fruit. Safe parking is provided - and you are very close to a few restaurants / eating places.
The town itself is nice - some cute shops (antiques, arts, crafts). And plenty of new citizens of Chinese origin! Even the local official (municipal) gazette is is published not only in Afrikaans and English - but also in Chinese!!

They have everything necessary for a comfortable overnight stay - secured parking, power backup generator, nice breakfast, TV, Wifi, quiet area and a comfortable room and a rate which is surprisingly low for what you get. Be warned the condition of the roads in the town is shocking to say the least but unfortunately the same can be said of the most towns/cities in South Africa.

We live in Lesotho and don't always know when we come into South Africa. Christa, however, is always accomodating no matter what time we come through and always helps with whatever is needed! Our go-to place for sure! Clean, friendly and accomodating. Also pet friendly😉

Ladybrand is just a dot on the map on the border of Lesotho and so we didn't expect much, yet we found a delightful place with friendliness, cleanliness and all we could have hoped for.
I am a happily married man of over 60 and so is my brother-in-law yet our jaws couldn't help dropping at the exceptionally beautiful young receptionist, who was simultaneously taking care of her 2-year-old child.
The guest house is right at the far edge of town and the access streets are in a horrible state of disrepair, please be warned.

My wife and I spent one night here. We received a very friendly welcome from the owner, Chrisna, and shown into a nice room leading into a small courtyard. We had previously ordered dinner and Chrisna prepared a delicious bobotie, a really good traditional South African dish. The breakfast in the morning was 'average', and nothing to rave about. I have long wished that TripAdvisor had a rating for 'Good', as there is a vast difference between 'Average'and 'Very Good.' This B and B is not VERY good, but it is GOOD. If visiting Ladybrand again, we would certainly stay here again. TonyC Hilton.

The Ladybrand Guesthouse is a Pet Friendly Guesthouse perfect for stay over or even a Holiday break exploring the beautiful and Historical areas surrounding Ladybrand. The Family run establishment have been in operation for a very long time and the hosts Petrus and Chrisna will ensure a excellent stay over (So will Terry and Maggie the resident 4 footed Basset hounds...) Chrisna is also an expert in Deserts...

Recently myself and 9 of my regional managers stayed over here. What an excellent place!

Clean rooms, swimming pool, braai area any many more places we did not get the opportunity to enjoy.

We booked for dinner but each day we either decided to braai or make a potjie as to where the owner just helped is with no grievances whatsoever. It really made our stay so much more enjoyable.

And cheap. Thousands cheaper than the second cheapest place we got quotes from.

Really a must stay if you are ever in Ladybrand

This was a one night stop over for five adults in three comfortable, separate en-suite rooms in a garden setting.
Hostess was extremely friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was included in price.
Free wi-fi was available.

Made booking from East London (Africa Bike Week) and needed stopover in Ladybrand.

What a great place to stay! Accommodation and breakfast great quality and value. Will be back on the bikes!

Road a bit rough, but ok if driving slowly to avoid the biggest potholes
