We took the private charter for yacht via bliss_yachting. Absolutely incredible experience. The yacht is luxurious and well maintained with all amenities. The crew is friendly and hospitable and goes an extra mile to make you feel special. They were caring enough to hire an indian chef and do a personalised menu as per need. Fantastic food on- board. Eric managed us really well. They even helped us hire a personal photographer on-board, jet ski, ballon-ride etc and were kind enough to make even non-swimmers feel safe in water. We had a memorable time and cant thank enough

We have spent there 6 nights with 2 small kids (4 and 6 years old). This is a very nice place with great views and tasty food. Rooms are big and clean, nice designed. Small, but lovely swimming pool, big garden with gecos and bats :) lot of green. Good price for this value. There were some inconvienience like lack of hot water (sometimes) and very bad internet.

This hotel is terrible, if they didn’t have the location and the view they would have no customers. It’s not even worth thinking of booking there, dirty, run down, staff friendly enough but with no experience. The management is only baking on tourism and location. Terrible place and certainly not value for money.

Lovely little hotel with great personal attention and a real holiday vibe. The hotel consists of two parts, one on the ocean and one on the other side of the road, located around the lush garden with a very nice swimming pool. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home. The breakfast area is wonderfull with views over the ocean, sand on the floor and great food. This was our favourite time of the day. Very relaxed, good food and with the friendly staff a very nice start of the day. I picked this place because of the snorkelling (I started at 7, only to come out around 9:30, to be on time for breakfast which ended at 10:30) and it was indeed very good. Spotted white tipped reef shark, parrotfish, trumpetfish, triggerfish, and lots more and on top of that a turtle that is often half way in the bay on the left side around the rocks. There is private parking and if you're on the garden side, it's very close to your room. Would recommend highly if you're looking for a relaxed holiday. We rented a car since it gives you more freedom to move around the island but the roads are narrow and we saw quite a few incidents and got hit ourselves (by another tourist).

I guess the owners have alot still on their hands to update the place. Great deco and concept, needs work on the breakfast side, overprice on the meals side(for what you get specially on the buffet side). Great salads! In my view the management needs to be reviewed (one man cannot oversee everything) as you see staff going up and down but doing what? Smiles don't solve everything. Don't get me wrong I didn't have issues as I knew what to expect(more or less in regard to the reviews online). I'm sure alot can be done to make thing more efficient, it's OK to charge for services but the services rendered have to be equal to what you pay for, even on a place like Seychelles! I still had a great time and will happily be back and hopefully see some positive changes.

In summary, this hotel has some positives, but feels like it is missing some core fundamentals which leave you expecting better. My rating is honestly between a 2-3 but I believe Poor is a more accurate label of our experience versus our expectations and I would not recommend this hotel based on our experience. Sadly, the most enjoyable parts of our visit to Mahe were away from the Bliss hotel. Let me start with the positives: 1. Firstly the hotel is very lucky with the view it has, it has a sunset view over the ocean which is certainly the highlight of the hotel. Also, the restaurant is located on the top floor of the hotel so at breakfast/dinner you can take in the view. 2. Considering the hotel is not large the kitchen do a great job of offering variety of options and they were accommodating to our dietary requirements and the waiting staff were fantastic. Drinks are quite expensive but that's to be expected on a tropical island vacation. 3. Finally, the hotel offers a number of nicer touches - for myself and my wife they offered a sunset dinner (although the sun had set by the time we were allowed to go down) and the team brought all the food down to us on the decking. They also crafted nice messages on our bed for special occasions (i.e. happy honeymoon) with a complimentary fruit platter. Now for my feedback and criticisms: 1. The staff & customer service was really poor. From check-in to check-out I regularly felt more confused about my questions or information. Things felt un-organised and as if the staff did not know a majority of the basics of the hotel. None of the staff wear uniform or name tags so it is difficult to be sure if they are hotel staff or not. Also when we raised issues to the front desk staff, there was rarely any apologies, instead notes were taken. On the issues we had, I felt I had to suggest solutions to the staff as very few of them were pro-active in resolving things. Our given beach towels were also stained and very cheap/low-quality and the team 'didn't have enough to swap it out' when I asked. Also, despite advertising a 'secure luggage storage room', once you check-in or check-out luggage is left in reception, in an open hallway that opens onto the main road. Not secure at all as the luggage is out of direct sight of the front desk and it also leaves other guests climbing over/around luggage while it sits there. 2. Our room & hotel maintenance. On arrival the room seemed large and luxurious, but on closer inspection over the next few days it was clear that it lacked some fundamentals. The 'balcony' was actually a space in the corner of the room with internal walls & was not outside. Our 'wardrobe' fell apart twice, once during the middle of the night which woke both me and my wife up, the other time the wardrobe pole fell and hit my wife on the head and then shoulder. The maintenance 'fix' was to put in a dodgy screw to try to secure the pole... Also, the bathroom had a regular 'sewer smell' that isn't what you'd expect from any hotel, never mind one that charges this much. Overall, it seemed that every issue/fix had been dealt with in a substandard way/by cutting corners (see pictures for some examples) and so the whole hotel felt rundown and un-maintained, even small things like sweeping leaves off the decking wasn't done during our whole stay. 3. Wifi - do NOT expect to be able to use the internet whilst staying here, even for messages, emails or social media. Don't even think about video calls home to family, I can't say there was one good spot on the whole resort that had solid connection and there seemed to be 10+ WiFi networks, but none ever seemed to be effective. 4. Beach & the sea-front - the hotel has a private beach however, due to the way it is set out & the nature of the tide, you cannot really use it/relax on it as the waves regularly crash all the way up the beach. I know this can't be changed but it feels unfair to advertise this as a private beach to relax on. One person was laying reading his book and then got hit by a wave. There is a decking with sea-beds, however they are dirty, not looked after and unappealing. As the major appeal to the Seychelles is the beaches, sadly despite advertising as a 'private beach hotel' you need to travel elsewhere to be able to enjoy a beach. 5. Location of the hotel - the location offers a fantastic view for the hotel and sea view rooms, however it is isolated from any nearby major attractions, resulting in either a (hot) walk to a nearby beach or a taxi to anything besides the hotel. Taxis on the island are expensive so be prepared for that. Also, as the hotel is set on a main road, all sea view rooms in the hotel have the noisy sounds of the road throughout the day & evening. I would advise people to rent a car to get around the island during the daytimes. 6. The pool - there is a pool set back from the main hotel, in the hillside section of the hotel. The pool is quite small and is set away from the beach. There is plenty of sunbeds but again they were dirty and not very appealing. Also, there was a pool bar but that was unstaffed and closed, meaning the nearest place to get any drinks would be down the hill, across the road, upstairs in the hotel and to the other bar - not exactly convenient. Overall, I would summarize that the hotel needs to re-evaluate the basics - customer service, interior quality of elements of the rooms and more accurately representing themselves online (i.e. the ability to use the beach, accurate info on rooms, removing a statement about secure luggage storage rooms). Compared to our other 2 hotels we visited in the Seychelles, they stood far above Bliss in terms of overall experience and I would not recommend staying here to any other guests.

We stayed at Bliss for five nights. It's located at a beautiful place and the hotel's small beach is really a nice little spot as well as the pool area. Although fully booked, no common ares ever felt crowded. The staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant owner is ambitious and really wants everyone to feel at home and welcome. The food is very good, especially the creole dishes and fresh fish, although quite pricy. Breakfasts are fantastic! With just a little more attention to some details here and there it would be full score. It's also close to Beau Vallon which has a fun vibe for the whole family - diving centers, food trucks, restaurants and great long sand beach with fun waves.

Absolutely stunning view with breathtaking sunsets viewed from the restaurant while drinking a Margarita. We lived in rooms 14 & 15. Probably the rooms with the best view? Though the road is very busy and disturbing. Amazing furnishing and design in the whole hotel with concrete, white walls, wood and shells everywhere. Accompanied with the turquoise sea. Wow! The breakfast buffe was super, eaten in the barefoot restaurant with sand between our toes, the sea fore our eyes and the waves in our ears. Magical! The hotel has passed it’s prime times - especially the part of the hotel down by the sea. There the sunbeds are worn out and the facade needs a face lift. The area around the pool, the bare foot restaurant and our rooms were in super condition.
