We spent our last two weeks at the hotel to finish off our holiday in Mauritius. When we arrived at the hotel we were warmly greeted by the front desk and went over the details of our Escape package (all inclusive - to an extend) and acess to Paradis hotel with Arnaud who did a wonderful job. Both our two junior suites are located next to the ocean on the 2nd floor with balconies overlooking the beach. The room and beds are super comfortable and clean, never had any issue or anything missing. Room cleaning and change of bedding is always on time and well made.

The service for the morning breakfast and dinner was excellent, table is very well set, plates are cleared when done, glasses are filled and always checking on you to see if there's anything you need. The Harmonie has a very professional and efficient team. It was truely amazing to see all the dedicated chefs and servers at work bringing you the best possible dinning experience. The food at buffet was excellent, every day has a theme menu. Tried a few a la cart restaurants which is great but would need to pay extra for fancier food.

The kids club has an amazing weekly program with golf initiation, fish feeding, night time grab hunting, catamaran rides and many more which our son enjoyed very much.

We were very satified with our stay and happy that we had chosen Dinarobin vs Paradis. We have been to Paradis a few times and find it a bit "chaotic" specially at the main pool area (it's the only pool). Dinarobin has 5 heated pools (besides the main pool) spaced out in between the residence areas and they were never crowded. The beach area in Paradis seems smaller and not much space between all the beach lounge chairs (also there were on-going construction / renovation). Dinarobin hotel beach is on a very long stretch with lounge chairs spaced out far enough for your own privacy. If you prefer a more relaxing and low key for your stay, Dinarobin is the better choice. If you're in a party mood, Paradis seems to be the place to go (with late night club as well) which is a shuttle ride away. The property is very well maintained, clean and safe.

What I also appreciate very much about Dinarobin is the fact that there is no boat house and hence no constant motor boat noise zipping up and down the area, eventhough there are a few times there are touring boats (from outside the hotel) that come very close to the shore where people are snorkling. No plastic floaters swimming limit ruining the manificient view all the way to the horizon.

The weather maybe a bit warmer and less windy in the North in this time of the year when we were there in July, but we were lucky enough to have some decent sunny week.

Don't miss out:
- French crepe at Paradis after 5 pm.
- Chill on beach lounge chairs with your favorite beverage and watch the sunset every evening before indulging at the buffet or restaurants.
- Very nice spa and massage, it is in its own secluded area with heated pool, Swedish sauna and hammam (a must).
- Look up in the night sky :-)

There are a few people that I would like to callout and thank:
- Beachcomber reservations: Prisca M for your help with my reservation and timely response to my queries.
- Mahogany Bar: Jerome - animateur who worked tirelessly to rally up the guests every night and present the best night entertainment. Got to see his dancing talents at our last evening at the hotel, leading the guests for a wild night!
- Morning breakfast grill: Karine and Poonam for killer egg white omelettes.
- Harmonie Restaurant: Fabrice, Ravi, Hermant, and Cassey (many thanks for the speacial birthday arrangement for my friend).
- La plage Restaurant: Kemraj and team for excellent service and food.
- Boutik Bar: Boomesh and team for knockout cocktails on the beach.

Will definitely come back the next time we are in Mauritius.

Good morning We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay among us at Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa and we thank you for sharing your experience. Together with our sister hotel, Paradis, we do offer to our hosts a choice of 8 restaurants which is only a shuttle away. Our shuttle service leaves both receptions every 15 minutes and the ride lasts only 7-8 minutes along the magnificent golf course. We trust that you had enjoyed our themed buffets which is a highlight every evening. The themes would range from Asian, Italian, Mauritian, Indian to name a few and each of these would be a culinary gourmet trip. The buffet not to be missed is definitely the Fishermen with the oysters, sashimi and the wonderful seafood available to sample. We also propose a large range of water sports at our shared boat house located at Paradis ranging from water ski, glass bottom boat, stand up paddle…. For those are keen kite-surfers, less than 10 minutes from our hotel is a very popular spot for kite surfing and also for international competition for kite surfers. We do hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you soon again for another relaxing holiday Kind regards Frédéric Lebègue General Manager

Unfortunately we stayed only one week in this hotel and regret not staying there at least for two weeks. The accomodation was very good and equipped as one would expect from a good quality of 5 star hotel. Extensive and very beautiful gardens, seemed like botanic gardens with incredible plants and birds. The food was superb. The variety and quality with different theme every evening. The restaurant service was also impecable. We would also like to mention a boutique which had good quality clothing and not too expensive which was nice. The main beach was a part of a sister hotel which was within easy reach by buggy. Complimentary water activity was very much appreciated. The beach itself was very good and swimming was excellent for the real swimmers like us. We would give 10/10 for everything. Defenitely recommend this hotel.

Good morning, We are thrilled to read your recommendation and are truly glad that our resort has lived up to your expectations. It is true that we are spoilt by 7 kilometres of beach shared between our sister hotel le Paradis and ourselves and at no point, one will feel overcrowded. 5 swimming pools are also located in the garden of our crescent of rooms for those who wish to relax close to their suite. It is worth noting that these swimming pools can all be heated when needed. Amidst a lush tropical garden, our suites blend beautifully well with nature. 8 restaurants are at our guests'disposal and two of those offer a different themed buffet every night allowing our hosts to travel the world with their tantalizing dishes thus creating a culinary emotion. Our team does look forward to welcoming you again for another unforgettable holiday in an "excellent hotel" Sincerely yours, Stéphane Sogliuzzo General Manager

Top resort in perfect location on the island Mauritius very close to the UNESCO heritage Le Morne rock.
Excellent service and very various food experiences. My personal tip for guests which would like to have more privacy, book a suite in the ZEN Suite (adult only) area. This suites are in the very quiet resort area located, also with own beach bed location on the best beach area in the resort. Do not miss a drink at the very nice Butik beach bar and a lunch at the La Plage beach restaurant with great view to the lagune and the indian ocean.

Good morning, We are very grateful to you for sharing your experience and cannot thank you enough for your special recommendation of our zen suites. It is true that choosing to reside in a zen suite brings several advantages. First and foremost, the tranquility is the highlight and one of the most appreciated aspect. Also all zen suite guests have the Club package and in addition the drink selection is available at the Butik bar. There is thus no need to leave the beach chair to enjoy a nice cocktail! Lunch at La Plage is of course not to be missed! Feet in the sand, one can either choose a grilled lobster, a fresh grilled fish or one of the numerous choices on our carte. The view onto the turquoise lagoon adds definitely to the beauty of the place! Our team does look forward to welcoming you soon again among us Sincerely yours Stéphane Sogliuzzo General Manager

When we were staying at this hotel everything was good except the organization and the weather.
Of course we can’t do anything about the weather, but the staff can at least do the best of the situation! There is only one lunch restaurant open at the beach, but just a tiny bit of rain and clouds forces the guests to eat at a poorly made buffet made out of leftovers from New Year’s Eve (it’s now Jan 3rd). Also due to a cyclone near Mauritius ALL the activities were closed and everyone were forced to stay at their rooms. No restaurants open, no room cleaning, all the shops were closed. Even the spa was closed! No warnings of this cyclone was informed to the guests before hand and there were not enough employees around. Our balcony was flooded to the point were you could not be there, we told the staff about it three times before it got cleaned up. They didn’t ever refill the water at our rooms. For the price we paid and for the hotel to be called a “5 star hotel” I think that this should be basics, even in a situation like this. They know it’s cyclone season right now and they should be prepared in my opinion. I don’t blame the bad weather, I blame the hotel and the staff for not making this stay as good as it could be. I think this was a waste of money and I don’t know if I will be coming back.

Good morning, We thank you for taking the time to share your points of concern which is essential in our quest of always improving our service. We are very sad that our hotel is not up to your expectations and we would like to have the possibility to discuss the mentioned points with you whilst being in our resort as we believe that a face to face conversation allows no miscommunication and a better sharing of information . Being located on le Morne Peninsula, we share our facilities with our sister hotel Paradis Beachcomber which is only 5-7 minutes away by our regular shuttle service. We wish to point out that during normal operating days, numerous restaurants are available for our guests to enjoy. At the Dinarobin, lunch can be taken at La Plage restaurant, feet in the sand in front of the sea, which offers a card with choices ranging from snacks, pasta, seafood, fish…. to name a few. Those looking for a “lighter” lunch can go to the Sushi bar or have the special dish of the day available at our main pool. Snacks are also available at both Butik Bar and Mahogany Bar. Should one feel the need for change, Paradis remains an option with the Blue Marlin restaurant and La Palma. We are truly sad about the mention of “left overs” as this is definitely not our hotel practice and standard. These past days, we were facing for a few days a cyclone warning up to class 3 and it is important to note that with a warning 3, it means that there is a high probability that we will be expecting gusts of 120 km/hour forcing us to review our organisation especially with regards to our restaurants option I am sure that one will agree that our guests’ security and comfort remains our priority in such exceptional conditions. Guests are requested not to leave the hotel premises by law and to stay in door as far as possible due to these gusts. We had to re-organise some of our activities and rest assured that our team did their utmost to ensure the best possible service in such an unfortunate situation. As soon as the warning was off and the artisans allowed to come back to work, we did re-inforce our transport system to get back to normal within the possible time frame. We have also taken note of your comment of the lack of service in room and for the same reason, a reduced service was done on these cyclonic days. We did appreciate the positive comments received from our other in-house guests with regards to the organisation considering the prevailing situation but do however apologise if you felt that the service during this cyclonic time was below your expectation. Sincerely yours Stéphane Sogliuzzo General Manager

We arrived in Mauritius on the 8th October following the Islands opening on 1st October. The arrival process was very smooth given the short time they had been operating. We were in the Dinarobin Hotel within 2 hours of landing, so very pleased.

Well, the Dinarobin Hotel - staff and Beachcombers both, were absolutely amazing. The hotel was only at 30% capacity when we arrived so of course the Le Harmonie Buffet for breakfast was not as full as usual, but the staff ensured that what was needed was put out and, if anything was missing or someone wanted something different, then the staff would just go and get it or you. They were all amazing and very accommodating to our requests.

All restaurants were open in the evening but the Le Harmonie Buffet in the evening was not. However, we could use the buffet at the Paradise Hotel which was also great and had something for everyone. We used the Escape Package for the 1st time and it was very good value for money. The only downside we found was that some of the Al A Carte Restaurants had very limited choices for those on the Escape Package and I think this is something that should be looked at in the future. However, this is the first time this has been offered so I am sure all feedback will be taken constructively. Most drinks were included.

All safety measures, i.e. disinfecting surfaces, social distancing and the wearing of masks where required are all in place and my husband and I felt very safe during our stay due to the professionalism of the staff. We had to have a lateral flow test when we arrived (day zero) and then another on day 5 - all very well managed.

Most of the bedrooms had been given a facelift during the lockdown and looked very clean and fresh with new bathtubs, new showers etc. Those that had not yet been completed were in the process of being done and any work that was still being undertaken was done so without any disruption to the guests. We were informed that all works will be completed by December, if not before.
The hotel grounds, golf course and all other facilities were all in tip top condition and had been well maintained during lockdown.

The golf course is up and running with competitions for those wish to take part with all safety, social distancing measures in place i.e. no sharing of golf buggies unless family member. The Sports Manager, Mr Kevin Sharma, who also looks after the gymnasium, children's club and evening entertainment was on hand at all times and very helpful with any questions the guests had.
Also a special mention has to go to Berti, Patricia and Audrey for their amazing management during this very difficult time.

All the gift shops were open as were all wind water sports (although during our stay you had to go to the Paradise for this, but was opening up at the Dinarobin in a re-furbished boat house)

Looking forward for a return visit with the family in January 2022 (covid allowing)

Good morning, We are very grateful to you for sharing your detailed experience of your stay at Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa and are so glad that our artisans live dup to your expectations. After these long months of pandemic, we have been thrilled to welcome back our guests and to share our Mauritian hospitality and art of welcoming and caring. We do our utmost so that the sanitary protocols starting from the rapid antigen tests upon arrival to our constant monitoring of disinfection of surfaces are the less stringent possible. Safety of our guests and artisans remains our priority and we are thankful to our guests for cooperating with us. Our standards of hygiene and cleanliness are taken very seriously and additional steps have been devised for the continuous safety of our guests. We are glad that you had tried our escape package which is an extensive beverage package that allows a large choice of drinks whether it be during meals and at the bar. One can consume without any limit and enjoy the variety proposed. Rest assured that we have well noted for the limited choice reported at the à la carte restaurants and our Chef will have a close look into it. The rooms including their bathrooms are very spacey, well furnished and very quiet. All rooms have a wide balcony with a cosy couch. Particular remarkable is the friendliness and the awareness of all the staff in the hotel either at the reception or the beach as well as in all restaurants. You have always the choice between 7 restaurants (in Dinarobin and Paradis) an all of these offer a wide range of local specialities. Even for lunch you have several options which are located very close to the beach while our absolute favourite is the 'La Plage' in Dinarobin. In general the golf course is supposed to be one of the best we have ever played, But at present due the dry weather conditions in the last months the course unfortunately is not in the best shape. So let's hope it will have more rain in the upcoming months. Despite the last restriction we are very happy to have already booked our next stay in Dinarobin for May 2022. Without any doubt from the nine hotels we booked in the past Dinarobin is the best by all accounts. There is no better place to relax and to enjoy this beautiful island,

Good morning, It is a real pleasure to read your appreciations and your feedback is a great source of motivation for our artisans and we are very grateful for your sharing. We always feel so honored to welcome back our guests and your patronage and loyalty are very valuable for us. We are glad that you took advantage again of our large choice of food and beverage options and we totally understand your special mention of La Plage restaurant. Unique and relaxing, La Plage offers a feet in the sand experience with a view second to none where one can either have a grilled lobster or a juicy Angus Beef or choose from the large array of dishes on the carte. La Plage is also open once per week for dinner with our special and famous lobster evening-a not to be missed experience! Those who have tried it can only recommend that special and exclusive evening. Really do not know where to start when it comes to trying to explain the experience of staying at the Dinarobin hotel.
If I was asked before going what I wanted/ expected whilst on this holiday, the hotel staff delivered above and beyond all my expectations.

I cannot mention everyone but firstly a special shout out to Kevin and his team within the gym, be it the golf package, guiding us on how to hit a tennis ball, how to traverse our way up Le Morne mountain through to the entertainment in the evening. First class and truly exceptional and special treatment to the entire family.

There really are too many people to thank, but to list a few:

A massive thankyou to Joel for his arrangement of the off-site activities, which we all thoroughly enjoyed.

All staff at La Plage (who had to put up with 11 of us every day for lunch), always providing a table and exceptional service daily.

All staff at the Mahogany Bar who ensured tables and chairs were all set out for us each evening - so thoughtful, always smiling and very professional.

From the very first time stepping into the hotel, till waving us off 2 weeks later, the hotel staff ensured that this was going to be an experience I would never forget.

Normally, the next holiday would be in a different location, but would love to return to the Dinarobin hotel annually.

Thankyou very much!!!!

Food was not good, too expensive and the quality was too low for the price. Drinks are too expensive as well. Umami Restaurant was the only good one.
Half board was too expensive and you have to pay extra for many dishes.

Good morning, We thank you for your feedback and are glad that you enjoyed our beach and the art of caring and welcoming of our artisans. It is a fact that the daily interaction with our artisans contribute to your holidays as one can learn the diversity of our cultures. We are indeed very spoilt to be living all in harmony and respecting the differences of each and every one. We are sad that our 7 restaurants options were not up to your satisfaction except for Umami, our Asian-fusion restaurant which offers a large choice of dishes ranging from sushi, sashimi, Wagyu, Black Cod.... All these dishes are beautifully presented besides being very tasty! Rest assured that we have shared your comments with our Executive Chef for his follow up and action. We also do wish to apologise for the inconvenience cause due to the presence of the children . May we point out that we do have a zen crescent which welcomes only adults thus guaranteeing a peaceful ambiance on the beach and pool crescent. This room category also encompasses a special package that allows a selection of drinks to be served from our beach bar and included within the package. We do hope that we will have the pleasure to welcome you next time you will be visiting our island Sincerely yours, Stéphane Sogliuzzo General Manager

We have just returned from the Dinarobin and had a lovely time, but I do have a few complaints, the first week was very relaxing as the hotel wasn't so full, but the 2nd week we had a conference and the guests arrived with their wives and one in particular was very loud and the language not very pleasant!!! They left and then a party of 65 Africans arrived again they were very loud and the language not good! It also seems that at the weekend the hotel allow locals to visit as there were quite a few children and families that weren't staying at the hotel, when I'd paid a lot of money to stay here I wasn't that impressed.

The breakfast food was delicious, the lunch also great but the dinner buffet not so great, we also visited a couple of restaurants mainly La Palma and Blue Merlin and decided not to go back as on the Escape package there's not much on the menu that you can have without paying extra. Please check that the Escape package is going to be value for money before you take it.

We went down to the beach at the Paradis one day as the beach there is much nicer you can walk into the water without having to tread on stones, we tried to go the following day but all of the sunbeds had towels on them, one person had even reserved 1 umbrella for him and 1 for his wife, so a family of 3 were not able to find a sunbed with an umbrella which is a must for the heat of the day.

The service from the staff was outstanding in particular the bar staff (Stephane) and also the beach front staff (Ruben), nothing was too much trouble and the snacks before dinner are delicious.

It was unfortunate that the bar in the evening wasn't very busy, I'm not sure where everybody goes but it could have done with a few more people staying and supporting the entertainment acts.

The spa is lovely but quite pricey.

We had a great time, but would chose another hotel another time.

Having stayed at Beachcombers Cannonier hotel at the other end of the island on this same trip and checked out early because it was soo bad, we arrived with some trepidation!
We were very pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived, the service is excellent, the staff are very friendly as well as being extremely efficient. We had a room in the “Zen Suites” and to say it was quiet, and the adults only rule for the pool was strictly enforced. Our room had a beautiful verandah with spacious seating and the room itself was large and airy with everything we needed. The food at the beach restaurant was great and on the all inclusive package you could eat at any of Dinarobins restaurants or it’s next door sister hotel. The food generally was okay. The entertainment was the best of any of the five hotels we stayed at on this trip and the main bar was large and well spaced out with always enough staff to cope and still smile! The golf course was good and whilst there is no restaurant at the golf club the bar is good and the staff friendly and efficient.

There are several a la carte restaurants in the hotel. Only one buffet, so you do not need to go there for dinner if you don‘t want to. :-)
Answer from Clare F
There is a Japanese, French & Creole restaurant plus there is a buffet with a wide variety of pastas, pizza, fish, meat, salads, cheeses and soups. There was something in the buffet for everyone and it changes every night, The food is excellent

Like most 5 star hotels Dinarobin has a Hotel laundry service. I never checked the prices, though.
