Well Well Well... What's a wedding without honeymoon?? Due to Covid 19, we nearly gave up thoughts of our honeymoon. I must say a big massive thanks to Mr Sunju, accountant at Lux Le Morne for going extra miles to help us with our reservation. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Mr Appadoo and Team. After going thru covid protocol and sanitary measures along with our welcoming cocktail, we made our way to our suite 120. Chilled champagne bottle and room decorations along with a heartfelt message made a real start to our time at Lux Le Morne. Our dinner was organised at The Beach restaurant by Mr Hurvind and Man did he throw us a treat!! Thanks to Mr Annunto and Mr Murvin Legentil for an incredible and unforgettable evening as well. On our way back, we were astonished to see another room set up and a warm fragrant tub with candles and flowers to set the honeymoon mood on. Kudos to Isabelle:) We booked our Spa with the Manager Anne who went thru our need to design a personalized massage. Thanks also for the gift:) Well being vegetarians, the bbq dinner that 2nd night was not up to par however chef Vishal personally went to the kitchen to make a few dishes other than the buffet! I recommend that for future bbq nights, kindly consider using Beyond Meat Burgers and Sausages for Vegan and Vegetarians so that we do not feel left out. After dinner, met a really bubbly and charming person, Mrs Aurelie:) Surprisingly, the following day, Chef Vishal went extra miles and organised a five course lunch! I must say we felt that the resort deserves this 5 Star rating for being able to rectify small hiccups! A small detour at the shop, greeted by Mrs Jenita who has good upselling techniques. We could not leave the shop without buying a small souvenir of our dream honeymoon at Lux Le Morne. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and looking forward to a next adventure at Lux, maybe with a lil one:)

I would like to thank the whole Lux Le Morne team for their simply amazing service and hospitality they warmly offered us on the very first day of their re-opening. We were warmly welcomed by Mrs Jess, the Human Resources Manager, who leads an amazing “ hospitality personality’ team of super motivated and cheerful staff who always have a smile on their face! She was absolutely brilliant in her little welcome speech, informing us of all sanitary regulations in place and even gave us a tour of the hotel and is so full of kindness.An absolute gem! Upon our arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the arrays of welcome drinks and services offered in the newly renovated lobby in typical colonial style , we were even spoiled with macarons, personalised cookies for the kids, hand written welcome notes by the managers. Everything was set for an amazing magical stay at our Lux resort. The white sandy beach lined with coconut trees is the most beautiful one in Mauritius. Indeed a little piece of heaven, the view from all sides of the resort is simply breathtaking, on one side the sea and on the other one lies the stunning Le Morne Brabant Mountain. The resort had strict sanitary protocols in regards to Covid, such as use of masks by all staff, sanitisers in every corner, non stop cleaning and sanitization of loungers and tables in every outlet, making us feel safe during our stay! As it was the first night of the reopening, a special beach buffet was set up with typical Mauritian delicacies. Absolutely delightful with fresh coconuts served for breakfast. The rooms are huge, refined colonial style, luxurious lush beddings and all in white. Blissfully and beautifully laid out! A hearful thank you to Chef Vishal for his sumptuous lavish meals, Annantoo who looked after us very well in the restaurant and the wonderful enthusiastic Vik, who is famously known for his “Dégustation d’oursins”, a must-try at this resort. He dives in the sea to get them and serves us right on the beach, couldn’t get any fresher! A real delicacy, would definitely recommend that experience with Vik! The little ones enjoyed their kids Club Play, numerous activities were offered to keep them busy, such as gardening and crab hunting. The well trained attentive staff there made us feel reassured leaving the kids there. The resort also has a treehouse, to the utmost excitement of the kids and lots of Instagrammable spots! An exceptional and unforgettable stay to be remembered at Lux Le Morne! Lux le Morne- A Magical piece of heaven on the Mauritian shore.

It is always best for everybody to be honest and fair when writing a review of a hotel and with the Lux Le Morne this is truly no exception. This is quite a lengthy review but please bear with it as i hope it will help you in making a choice for your stay on this wonderful island. I had heard of the fantastic reputation that the Lux brand had acquired and was eager to sample some of their legendary hospitality. On our arrival we were met by a large number of the hotel team full of big smiles and warm welcomes. Myself and my wife have visited many 5 star hotels in many countries and have always been extremely impressed. However in this case it was a bit different, it wasn't just a case of this is lovely, it was a totally instant WOW!!, a feast for the eyes at every turn. Check in was very very smooth and delightful. We were told our room was ready even though we were very early and also we had been upgraded to one of the best rooms in the resort. Could things get any better? Indeed they could! The room was uber chic and very very clean with great facilities. The grounds were so immaculate and beautiful, as was the fabulous palm tree lined beach. It takes a lot of factors to make a holiday perfect: 1. Great hotel 2. Great location 3. Great food 4. Great drinks 5. Great atmosphere 6. And if i may use an overused word PARADISE! These factors are all found at Lux Le Morne like many luxury hotels around the world which one would always expect. What makes Lux Le Morne stand out amongst the crowd is the hotel family of workers that makes it just that extra bit romantic and special. The Management team,check in team, the bar service, the chefs, waiters & waitresses, the room service, the gardeners, the security etc... all have a permanent smile & are intensely keen to make your stay at their home as perfect as possible. Myself and my wife found the family at the hotel to be extremely warm, humble and kindhearted and in no way false unlike many other establishments. (Just a quick word on anyone thinking of going on a diet, wait until after you holiday as you have little chance here. The portions are huge and of the highest standard and everyone is keen to make sure you always have had enough to eat and drink.) We learned that many of the team had been based there for 20 years or more, this is proof of how much they really do love their roles and how much fulfilment they receive in return from giving their guests the trip of a lifetime in paradise. The title of my review is "From the heart". This is inspired by every member of the team placing their hand on their hearts when addressing you. Wouldn't the world be a better place if everyone showed such respect. It is customary to mention people whom have gone that extra mile during your stay. My review would be so much longer if i mentioned all the people that went the extra mile as it was all of them!! Myself and my wife must mention one or two people that we were totally blown away by and truly made it a world class experience. Firstly we must mention our friend Balee. He is without doubt one of the nicest people we have ever met on our travels over the years. He devotes his working life to making his guests feel like royalty. Oh, and by the way he is a world class leader in making any cocktail you may desire, boy are they awesome! Vik, how can we not mention Vik. Like Balee a true inspirational character full of the love for life and nature that surrounds us. His local knowledge is superb and he loves to share it will anybody willing to listen to his interesting stories. Please if you can, join him for his Sea urchin tasting at sunset or the Octopus curry at the beach restaurant. (all caught by Vik himself). It seems a shame just to briefly mention a couple of names as all the family working the bars, restaurants and reception are incredible. So to everybody at Lux Le Morne Nirvana: Thank you all for making our holiday one that will remain fondly in our hearts forever. Dave & Claire xx "From The Heart".

We’ve just got back from our honeymoon at Lux Le Morne. It’s been an amazing experience which wouldn’t be possible without a marvellous staff of the hotel. Special thanks goes to Mani, Vik, Chefs Rajesh and Raghoo from the Beach restaurant and Rodee from the East restaurant, who were always ready to welcome us and provide us with quality personalised service as well as delicious food.

Me and my friends stayed at LUX le morne some days back.And I have no words to describe this hotel.It was so satisfying and unbelievable.We had a very nice time over there.First of all Mr Satish was a very nice and friendly person always ready to help.Great service from Anunto,Mervin,Sylvia,Alanzo,Vik And chef Rajesh and Chef Raghoo from the Beach restaurant. Rodee was awesome at East restaurant,always ready to welcome us by providing us with quality service as well as delicious food.We would like to thank also Chef Jean Eric and Jeremy the Director.They were absolutely nice.Overall delicious food,room always neat and clean,wonderful atmosphere,nice activities....They all make us so happy that we can never forget this vacation we had. THANK YOU FOR ALL LUX and team ❤ Good job .Keep it up
