We stayed at Gite Des acacias for 2 nights. One when we arrived in Mauritius and one before we leave Mauritius. The guesthouse is conveniently located less than 10min drive from the Airport. On arrival Dimitry gave us a tour of the property. The room on the small side, has aircon which works well (although on the on the noisy end), and everything you need. Wifi was good. They offer an option to have a buffet dinner made of local creole cuisine and we recommend as it was delicious. You share the meal with Dimitry and Isabelle, the owners, and other guests, if they are any others. So we had a lovely social evening talking about everything with the owners and another couple we met (and stayed in touch since). For breakfast you get plenty of food, bread, pancakes, yogurt, juice but most of all the jams are homemade by the housekeeper and they are just delicious! We would recommend the place and if you could stay longer it would be a great base. Note that there is nothing really around to eat so you'd better consider this! It's excellent value for money in our opinion!

Excellent location (10 mins from the airport) clean rooms and friendly owner. Isabelle made it all a very comfortable and easy for our stay. Checked in late (11pm) and she was cheerful and accommodating. Room was clean and had wifi. Bed was comfy. She sorted us out with an excellent dinner for a small fee at that time of night, and we were well looked after. Had to check out the next morning as our flight was at 10pm but she let us keep our luggage in the main house as we went around the island. She even offered her own shower for us to use when we got back to grab our luggage for the airport in the evening. It was a lovely, warm and hospitable experience and would highly recommend staying. Isabelle was awesome!

We had to stay more days than usual because of the cyclone. Very nice people, excellent food, very clean. Very close to the airport, so very practical, but it is better to stay more than a couple days.

Budget Stay near the Airport_Excellent Breakfast The best place to stay if you want to be near to the airport. Hosts are caring and help with the Airport transfers. I think there is bicycle rental as well if needed but have not tried it yet. One thing I am sure that you wont forget is the breakfast... Excellent and tasty! Highly Recommend!
