Amazing hotel. Boutique feel with all the amenities of a resort hotel and more. Check in was efficient and sensitive to how tired we were. Made every effort to get us into our room quickly. Room was lovely. Deluxe - 472. Sea view. And a view over garden. Kept spotlessly clean. Comfy beds. Quiet and peaceful. Pool is lovely. Plenty of loungers no matter what time you came down. The beach and sea were simply stunning. White sands, turquoise still water. Great beach service. The staff everywhere were charming and friendly- without exception. Took the trouble to know our names and always greeted us. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was tasty with plenty of choices. Cocktails were lovely and plenty of booze in them. Animals on the resort were so well cared for. Loved the little cat who hung about the bar and restaurant. I can’t say enough about this wonderful hotel and great staff. Thank you Maritim and your fantastic staff for a fabulous holiday. We were so sad to leave and hope to be back.

It’s already one year since we went at the Maritim Resort and Spa hotel hotel for our 2 nights stay! We have a very nice, great, fantastic, memorable moments on our two nights stay at the Maritim Resort and Spa hotel dated 30.01.21 till 01.02.21. We have a good customer service, good atmosphere, very nice, helpful staffs in reception, restaurants (breakfast, lunch and diner),Bar pool, Spa and the Double Deluxe Room with twin beds with the nice seaview from our balcony.

We returned from a 7 night stay at the Maritim on the 28th May 2022 and we had a great time!We booked the deluxe plus sea facing room on the all inclusive package.We were upgraded to eat breakfast at La Maree and that was excellent especially the beautiful beach setting.We actually ate our evening meal at La Maree on 3 occasions and each time the food and Service was excellent.I would like to commend the following staff at La Maree Paulo,Mitton,Neetin.We also used our all inclusive credit at Anno 1743 and Chateau mon Desir.Once again excellent food and great service.Here, I would like to commend Chef Nannen who gave me a 2nd plate of petit fours as I liked them so much! and the waiting on staff Kunal,Sachin and Govind. The Quarter deck Bar Manager Deven was also excellent, after waiting for a food order on our 1st afternoon he made sure that we didn't experience any further issues and was always very friendly and eager to help. The only dining experience that I would not recommend was the "Banyan", the food was cold, bland and expensive and the service was abysmal! On our arrival we had a major issue with the hot water supply in our room namely no hot water.Although we were assured the problem had been rectified on Day 1, it hadn't and we experienced the same issue on Day 2...it appeared that this issue was not restricted to our room and Jerry the Duty Manager said that it was an electrical issue that would be rectified that evening.Prior to dinner that evening the hotel found me another room to shower in, which was not the most convenient, but fortunately by the morning of Day 3 hot water was back and we had no further issues for the rest of our stay. As you can imagine this was not how I expected the holiday to start but thanks to the staff we did get the issue rectified and needless to say it didn't dampen our enjoyment. I would also like to commend the efficient checking in process done by Kavita who also arranged all our dining options for the week.Rati from the front office received me at reception on numerous occasions with a smile on her face and Manoj one of the Duty Managers who resolved our queries very efficiently. Although the location of this resort is idyllic, it is the staff that make it...other staff I must mention are the following: Vimla who received us for Breakfast on a couple of mornings in the Buffet, Imran at Anno and the 2 buggy drivers Sanjeev and Krishna.Thank you all for making our stay so enjoyable and we do hope to return again soon.

Registration and check in took 45 mins. Had a problem in the room at around 18.45 hrs. Water flooding from the toilet and spreading in the corrridor. It took 1 hr for the hotel staff to intervene. After a very hostile discussion with one person named Sherina, she just bluntly told us that the best solution is to vacate the hotel and it was nearly 21.00 hrs ! She availed herself of this prerogative as we were local Mauritians ! Imagine yourself if it was foreign nationals being expelled from the hotel at night.l. When borders were closed local people were KIng, Taxpayers money were injected in the hotel's coffin just to keep the hotel alive. Now they no longer need the same taxpayer as foreigners are coming back. What a shame to this hotel. I do not recommend this hotel to our dear countrymen.

Due to lots of arrivals and departures at your check-in time, your registration did take a bit longer than normal as a member in your group suggested to wait for all members to be present to start the check-in procedures. At 20h00, we were informed of an issue in your room and our Maintenance team, Housekeeping team and the Duty Manager met you in your room. They realized there was indeed a technical issue which was not in our control. However, we did our best to propose all solutions, within the realm of possibilities, which were still not up to your satisfaction. We proposed a room move and additional benefits which you declined and you mentioned you prefer to check-out the same day. The Duty Manager agreed to your request to check-out and you were even allowed to have dinner at our Belle Vue restaurant and drinks at Quarter Deck Bar, free of charge. We understand that the Duty Manager personally met with you and tried to turn your experience around but you still refused all solutions proposed. We believe that our 25 hectare historical estate offers an extremely elegant luxury resort experience and cater to the needs of each guest, irrespective of their nationalities. Our team, which is made of local staff, goes out of their way to always provide seamless service deliveries to guests and we all fell hurt to read that you left us with an experience not to your satisfaction, despite our full assistance. We sincerely do hope that you shall give us a chance to welcome you back for a better experience and to showcase another MARITIM experience in the near future. Absolutely horrified that this hotel is a 5 star!! Absolutely appalled by the service, very amateurish! It didn't start well to begin with, it took over 45 mins to check-in-, the food was not of great variety, the pasta chef seems unaware of simple terms like penne, arabiatta- the food was good in so much butter, just looking it at it, made me not want to eat it- the same for breakfast- the egg was literally swimming in oil! The kids buffet, was the most basic buffet I have ever seen! Some beach chairs are reserved for suites, and rightly so, but for the guy to personally move my stuffs(and let me keep the price of my Bottega sunglasses off!!!!) without asking me, is crazy, do note we were the only one at the beach, all he could do is ask. Am for sure never going again, but if you are a tourists, do go, you will be treated well, its us Mauritians that pay for our stay that get treated like this! NEVER GOING AGAIN!

So we had been staying at a hotel next door to the Maritim, which we were not happy with and decided that we would look next door and see if we could possibly check in there for our last week. You would think that should be quite reasonable and straight forward. So we walked along the road to access the main entrance only to be told by some turgid security guard at their main gate to pi## off. Now this guy was in the middle using his mobile phone at the time. He failed to even ask what I wanted. I hope the Maritin management view this post and implement some urgent retraining for this rude and and totally unhelpful operative. However I’m sure he was only following orders and or a mindset that has come down from above. If it helps the incident occurred 30-05-22 at approx 16.30.

Don’t let the reviews put you off booking this hotel! Our stay was amazing and doesn’t match up to the other negative reviews I have read. To the point it makes me wonder if they even stayed here. The staff are so friendly and cannot so enough for you! If you are celebrating anything on this trip make sure to let them know as they will go above and beyond to make it special. Upon arrival we were immediately welcomed by staff, given a seat and a welcome drink before swiftly moving onto take the hotel provided antigen test. Unfortunately our room wasn’t yet ready but we were provided a pass so our all inclusive break could start and they kindly stored our luggage in the meantime. The room was amazing. Large standalone tub as well as a large walk in shower with rainfall style head. Toiletries from the spa and a balcony with sea views so capture the sun rise and sunset. Make sure you keep the door closed however as the geckos love to venture into your room! I’ve seen a few comments on the drinks not being up to par but we never found this. We had no end of G&Ts, Mojitos, Beers and any other special cocktails they surprise us with and they were all lovely and never watered down. There is no wristbands so you need to provide your room number with your order but the staff quickly remember your room and what you usually order which is a nice touch! We booked all inclusive and it didn’t disappoint. The buffet was really good, with live cooking stations and an excellent selection of food (meat, fish and veg). The extra large fresh passion fruits and sorbet were a staple for our stay. The al a carte restaurants, which they are multiple, were all incredible also. We were unfortunately not able to try the Anno 1746 as we eat outside so that we could watch the FA cup final but I’ve heard great things. All restaurants are included and the menus very clearly highlight which options are included and where a small additional fee is needed - there are plenty of included choices though so we never found the need to pay extra! The Chateau de nesir is a fine dining restaurant which is definitely worth a visit! The ambiance is amazing with the pianist playing romantic music throughout. The food was delicious and the staff were super helpful and can’t do enough for you. This restaurant isn’t included but you receive a 455 MUR pp contribution towards your final bill. Surprising the bar also have great food throughout the day and there is a menu where the food is made to order so comes out super fresh, hot and delicious! The beef burger was huge and to die for! This can also be eaten around the pool. Make sure you explore the grounds! They have an equestrian centre full of retired race horses as well as a dog rescue centre where you can even take the dogs in walks. There is a small petting zoo as well as some waterfalls and the Balaclava ruins to discover on your door step. There are plenty of entertainment available but we found that unfortunately due to the capacity being low these were often not running as just not enough people were interested(I.e. volleyball, boccia, archery). Table tennis is available at all times and we had many a games as well as checkers. You can grab a ball to play volleyball but we just couldn’t find enough people to play. The entertainment team were lovely and even helped to teach me a few French Creole phrases. Big shout out to two members of staff who truly made our stay and it turns out are brothers! Bob (Bar manager) and Ganesh( Restaurant manager) are super stars! I made a comment to Bob early in my trip that it was my birthday the following week and after a couple of days off he was back to work, immediately remembered and wished me a happy birthday without any prompt and then proceeded to bring us over a birthday Virgin cocktail. He ensured that we had food before we were picked up for our flight home as it was too early for the restaurants and would often make us special cocktails and bring them over to us whilst playing table tennis. My partner reached out to Ganesh to arrange a champagne lunch for my birthday and he served us the entire time, making it white glove service and even arranged for the most amazing cake to be brought out. Then even went the extra mile, found out we were eating on the beach that evening and had a second cake brought out at the end of the night. All the staff are so friendly, always saying hello, asking how you are and wishing you a great day! We managed to get an amazing deal at the spa and it was a great experience. Excellent massage, a welcome drink, drink once we had finished and then use of the facilities afterwards which are beautiful! The sunsets here are out of this world and not something to be missed! They happen around 6pm in May so make sure you experience them in different areas each day! We booked a helicopter tour with Corail which lasted 45 minutes and enabled you to see all the main attractions and is definitely a must!! Overall we have the best and most relaxing holiday and will definitely be willing to come back in the future!

Check in We arrived and had to go park a the bottom parking lot. All of the arriving guests had to walk probably about 800m just to get to the hotel. No golf carts were available on arrival. We then waiting for about 45 min to get checked in. After that our bag was for no reason taken to storage which they then needed to locate. Rooms Okay - Bathroom is very small. Our room had partial view. Mostly looking onto the roof of another building. Food and drinks We were on the all inclusive. Beware of selecting this option unless you like drinking very low quality alcoholic beverages. We couldn’t find anything that we would ever drink at home. We were told on this all inclusive package we could only eat at the buffet. Decent food - nothing great. Breakfast was a small selection. Average. Could not imagine eating that food for say a 7 day trip. Service I am concerned on how these established hotels can still provide such average service! How do they survive competing against other hotels. We did find one or two nice employees but overall, the staff have not been managed on understanding what is client service. Surely a hotel establishment pushes this onto their staff day in and day out.

We have just returned from a wonderful 12 night stay at the Maritim. This was our second visit to the hotel after 16 years and we weren't disappointed. The staff were excellent! They were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We particularly enjoyed our breakfasts at La Maree beach restaurant and were looked after so well by Ishwaree , Rakesh, Yevin and Naresh the barman. Thank you all so much! Hopefully it won't be another 16 years before we return!
